The food was not that great... but the worst part was the need to rush to a restroom very quickly!!!

I brought my brother to this establishment a place I frequent patronize when im in town since 2018. Arrived at 9:42p Saturday July 18 2026 and immediately looked for manager as usual to introduce a new patron to the establishment after doing so I ordered my usual drink in which management usually does it for me as they make it per my request without me having to send back and I placed my order. The business was unusually light on customers as to what I'm accustomed to seeing. My drink wasn't correct and so while at the bar trying to get waitstaff/bartender Evelyn (Hispanic young lady), her and another waitstaff gave me the wait a minute hand gesture while her and Co worker literally take shots at the bar while on duty with 2 customers. I became furious and demanded to see management Frederico. I told him that out of all the years I've patronize with this establishment I have never been treated as such and neither have I ever witnessed waitstaff drinking while on duty. Rather than rectify the issue at hand he said I'm sorry and ill be glad to cancel your order and to have a good evening my friend. I was appalled while the 2 waitstaff Evelyn and other young lady waved me goodbye. This use to be my favorite restaurant in the area. Never, as well as all of the people I have brought to the establishment will never patronize again!!!!! read more

Came from Galveston, Beaumont and Buna to eat a Mother's Day brunch; thankfully there was no wait. There were 8 of us. May 12, 2019. We had a fantastic meal and appetizers/cocktails. Nothing bundt cake for dessert. Time for a siesta! read more

Waited 20 mins and no one came to the table. We left and went to Tia Juanitas, someone waited on us immediatly. We wont be going back.

I come here all the time with my family. Francisco, the manager, is always super friendly and extremely accommodating to us. The food is always on point and the service is always great. We love coming here on Friday nights and sitting on the patio. I recommend coming here and drinking a cold beer on draft. Amazing place. read more

The worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to in this area. Rice is disgusting. Charro beans were bland. I ordered a zombie margarita and it tasted like absolute garbage. I asked for a new one and the house margarita was okay. Also I want to point out me and my group consisted of 3 adults and 2 children. We are Mexican and were quite literally the only Mexicans in a restaurant of white people ( not the problem) but for gratuity to be added to our check felt targeted in a way. Why would gratuity be added to a check, are they contributing to the bill? No. Just disrespectful and unprofessional. read more

I went for crawfish, and while the crawfish were perfectly seasoned and just right l couldn't help but notice the servers as they stared at us from across the restaurant the entire time we ate our food! It was very creepy and it made my friend and I VERY uncomfortable. This review is for takeout only, and prompted only because they just keep getting it wrong! It is close to my house so we have orderered several times. it is almost always wrong. Not to mention being charged for stuff we ordered but did not receive. The picture is for the sides for 3 quesadillas, supposed to be no lettuce, no sour cream. Just xtra guacamole and pico! Missing one and these obviously way off!! You can see how chinchy they are with these portions, Its same with the salsa. We have given up on them and will go down the road... My boyfriend and I went here last week, and he got some tacos and I got cheese enchiladas with rice, which were really good. Their queso blanco and salsa were delicious as well, and our server was kind and attentive. I am knocking off one star because we got mango margaritas (mine was frozen and his was on the rocks), and even though he liked his, mine tasted like plastic. Way too expensive to not taste amazing. I wouldn't mind going back to this restaurant, but I'll pass on the drinks. read more

This is probably the best Tex-Mex restaurant we have eaten at. All the food was excellent. My wife said the Chile Relleno was the best she has EVER eaten. My two grown daughters loved the chicken enchiladas and cheese enchiladas. And the chicken flautas I ordered were cooked perfectly. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We were sat at our table for 30 minutes with no service aside from the girl who dropped our salsa off. We then waited for another 15 minutes just to order our drinks and still did not get asked if we could place our appetizer order. They proceeded to have shift change and did not notify us so we were sat with no server to assist us. When we spoke to the manager he said he would help us find another server. This place has great food and drinks. Incredible service and the bartender is sweet, awesome at making drinks and very personable to the patrons. My family has eaten at the majority of restaurants in mid county and this is by far the best Mexican food we have found. My daughter and I both had the chalupa dinner. The beef fajita meat in it tasted char grilled, tender and delicious. The blaco caso was awesome too. Will definitely be be going back! read more

It's 930 on a Saturday night and me and my partner decided to check this place out. Now keep in mind we were skeptical already since we try to avoid going out in port Arthur as we always get bad service around here. Well guess what? We got shit service again! It seems we arrived after the "crowd". That could be a good thing in the sense that all the waiters were free to serve on us but it was the complete opposite......it's seems everyone was so tired as the manager, hostess and our waiter were all sitting down. We suffered as it took forever to get served. I ain't gonna lie, the margaritas were awesome but when our appetizer mushrooms with quest arrived even the waiter was surprised. I think I could count the serving size on one one hand! Too make matters worst we ordered the 27 fagitas for 2 and when it arrived the rice and beans were cold! We declined the order and guess what the waiter still charged us 1.99 fajita beef upgrade and 2.00 for a price adjust!!!! Felt bad but had that waiters mistake ate up his tip! This used to be one of my favorite go-to restaurants for gatherings until I noticed that they charged everyone that ordered drinks during happy hour regular price. They adjusted the prices on two separate occasions. Another time was on a Saturday which is happy hour for ladies ALL NIGHT. I brought it to my server's attention but he played it off saying it's not when it's printed clearly on their menu. After this visit I told myself and everyone else I will never go back but my group of people decided to have a going away dinner there anyway. I tried to get them to change to a different restaurant but that didn't happen. So what happened this visit??? It was a Tuesday night. There was a sign on their table that has their daily specials. Tuesday is "Kids eat free with adult entree." I ordered my son a kids meal and a margarita during happy hour and several more afterwards. My husband had 3 beers and we both ordered an entree. When the server handed me our ticket I made sure to check it to make sure it's right and sure enough I was charged regular price for the margarita I ordered during happy hour AND was charged for the kids meal. I brought it to the server's attention. He adjusted the price for the margarita but told me he forgot to tell me that "kids do not eat free tonight." He said that the sign is old!!! There's one on every tabletop! My friend had questioned him about it also and he told her they don't offer it all the time. My friend did not receive her food and another person with us left because they never took his order. Oh, and they wanted to charge us $100 to use their party room on top of food and drinks which we declined. My bill came out to be $93 after automatic gratuity. If you MUST eat/drink here, check your ticket before paying!!! They are good at ripping people off!!!! Their waitstaff are also rude. I will never return to this restaurant ever again! read more

Pretty good. It is, however the exact same thing as Rancho Grande a few miles down the road. Same queso, hot sauce, rice ect.
