Kim is wonderful. Met her at Mary Nutter, asked us to come to her store for custom glove fitting. Waited for us for addition 3 hours on Saturday. My daughter found the right glove for her and replaced the other glove while being relaxed by Big John. Service is awesome.

I went into Road Runner on Tuesday to buy a pair of cross training shoes. I was paired with Gary,…read morewho was in training. I left with a pair of Reebok's. I got home that day realizing the fit was too narrow/tight for my high arched feet and made the decision to rerun the shoes. I went into road runner the next day, Wednesday, to return the shoes. (mind you I did not buy the membership because it was $19.99(?) plus $49.99 annually on top of the already $160 shoes.) This is when I was told by a manager named Alexis, that I had worn the shoes - when I in fact had NOT worn the shoes besides trying them on in store- and he wasn't going to give me my money back. I told him that he was wrong and needed to give me my money back. He gave me my money back very reluctantly ensuring me he didn't believe me. He told me he remembered me "not buying the membership" and that he remembered the shoes being clean and unworn on Tuesday. I left the store in tears over the interaction. Later, once I had calmed down, I realized I had taken photos of the shoes in store on Tuesday prior to buying them. It came to my realization that Gary and Alexis had sold me the floor sample shoe without telling me and then proceeded to blame me for the shoes being worn. After being treated so poorly, I will never be going back to road runner.

My fiancé and I came in after Christmas to buy some new running shoes so we could start the year…read moreoff right. We both needed to be sized and fitted for a shoe that would work best for us. When we walked in, we were greeted by an employee who put us on the waitlist to be seen. After a couple minutes we were called and we began doing the fit finder foot exam. Immediately they tried to sell both of us on custom insoles. I'm all for custom in soul if it is needed, however, I felt like they were just trying to sell us on a product we didn't really need just to make more money. When it was my turn to do the fir finder, the machine read that I had a low arch. I found this really interesting since I've always been told I have a higher arch. After doing our exams, we were recommended three different shoes that would work best for our foot type. As I was trying on the shoes, I was explaining to the lady that was helping us that the shoes just didn't fit my foot right. I was explaining what I didn't like and what I did like about each shoe. I found it really odd that she didn't try to go look for any other shoes that met what I was looking for. She simply decided that since the three shoes that they recommended for me didn't work that I wasn't going to buy shoes that day. I felt very dismissed and felt like my needs were not cared about, but rather I was just a tool to make more money. They also kept trying to get us to sign up for their VIP rewards. Whenever we asked price of something, she would give us the VIP price rather than the original price even though we were not VIP reward members. If you're looking for a shop that is trying to make as much money off of you as possible, roadrunner is the spot for you. If you're looking for a shoe shop that truly focuses on the individual and cares about finding the perfect shoe for that person do not visit roadrunner.
