Pretty darn good paninis - we go in, play some pool, order drinks and share sandwiches. The staff is fun, knowledgeable and always helpful. An all around friendly atmosphere and great food.

The Oktoberfest itself was a pretty good-sized event with around 35-40 vendors and four food trucks. Since we had never been inside McHoppers before, we decided to check it out. The building is divided into three sections: one area for ordering drinks, a middle section with pool tables, axe throwing and the restrooms, and a larger back room where they had an open mic. Unfortunately, our experience with the server wasn't very welcoming. She seemed annoyed to be helping us and didn't really show much customer service. The server helping the party after us was much friendlier and at least smiled while taking care of her customers. I ordered the blonde lager, but I'm pretty sure I was given the red instead. It was dark in color and looked and tasted much more like a red ale than a blonde lager. ‍ On the bright side, we did grab some food from Fine Swine, which we had tried before at a Terrible's event, and we enjoyed walking around checking out all the vendors. We also stopped at Tillie's & Crew for some sourdough and HD Bees for some honey -- two finds we were definitely happy about! Overall, I thought the Oktoberfest event itself was pretty good and we'd probably go again. There were plenty of vendors to browse, food options and things to check out. Sadly, though, based on our experience, we probably wouldn't bother going inside McHoppers again. The event was enjoyable; the customer service inside just didn't leave us wanting to go back.

I ordered the Ruben sandwich and was shocked by the size of the thing. It was hard for me to wrap my mouth around but as the owner says, "we make sure you get your bang for your buck." I left full with a new connection to the community and a lot of background to the restaurant/ bar as well as the town. I would definitely stop in again and would love to try more items on their new menu! On Saturday it looks like they have live music and with their 15 burger menu I know this is a spot my husband will want to check out.

There is a new staff and we have noticed a slight decrease in the attentiveness and friendliness with this staff. Today I ordered water (they were out of Dragon's Milk beer) and a French Dip sandwich (no onions). The sandwich was delicious. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The cheese was perfectly melted. The toasted yet fluffy bread complemented the sandwich perfectly as did the rich, umami au jus. I am glad that under new ownership the food quality has not gone down and I look forward to my next meal at The Dayton Taphouse.

I haven't been out to the Tahoe Truckee Industrial park in awhile, like years, and I was surprised…read moreto see there was an Indian restaurant here now. There used to be hardly anyplace to eat except fast food, like Burger King! Roots, is located right after the first truck stop after you get off the freeway, just turn right and you're there. I thought I'd check it out and I saw there was a lunch buffet offered all weekdays from 10 an till 2 pm for $20 per person. I know a buffet is a way to please the whole crew. We've been to many other Indian Buffets before and I know my guys really love Tandoori Chicken and naan. So I went in to check it out and holy moly, this was the most dinky Indian buffet I ever saw! The steam table was like 1/3 the size of most buffets I've been to, but if they have what we like, it might still work out, cause there's a lot on an Indian buffet I just don't eat ... OK, some of the things in those tubs are just a little too weird for me. Some of the tubs weren't even filled yet. But the deal breaker here was there was NO Tandoori Chicken! I never heard of an Indian Buffet that didn't have the most common dish, Tandoori Chicken! I asked and they said no Tandoori Chicken! There's no way I can take my crew here, we'll have to find some other place to eat. I had high hopes, but this Indian place ain't gonna work out for us especially at $25 per person including tax and a little tip, this buffet isn't worth that. There's pizza, Chinese and Mexican just up the street.

Food was delicious some items I feel like it could've been more for the serving like the panni (I think that's how you spell it) it was only six and was not as stuff as I've gotten it from other places but I'm not disappointed in the taste we loved the butter chicken and all I'll be returning !!! Once again sweet lady (I didn't catch your name but keep being awesome and pure you are appreciated) and you definitely made my day today
