Fast forward to the next week - the day before the mommy and me classes - I emailed them just to confirm it was still on. Thank god I did because they responded that the classes were paused and I'd be getting a refund. I'm still waiting on them to refund the Pilates class to me. Just terrible communication all around.

I had braces put on about a month ago from a different orthodontist and I began to feel very uneasy about my orthodontist, the techs and the overall treatment plan. I came to Hillsboro Orthodontist for a consult (I was recommended to him by an oral surgeon). Dr. Sjursen and his office put me at ease and I have decided to move my treatment to Hillsboro Orthodontists. It was not a difficult decision!!! They did need to take off my current braces (which they did that day!) and they will put on the braces that they use (which seem MUCH smaller and more comfortable and much more modern) in a couple of weeks. Taking off the old braces was pretty painful, but they made sure I was okay and we took breaks when I needed. It was painful because my braces had been on a month, so the teeth had started moving and the type of brackets that the other orthodontist put on were not so simple to remove. Sara had experience with the type of brackets that I had on, so that helped so much. The doctor polished and cleaned my teeth also when they were all done with the braces removal - super professional and unexpected! They look beautiful. I am actually looking forward to going back and getting my new braces put on! It feels great to know that I am in good hands now.

He was very thorough in his analysis of my situation, took time to review all of my scans and told me he could fix it. One year later, I am 85-90% there and the difference is amazing. He is exceptionally good and knowledgeable and trust him 100%. Everyone in the office is friendly. It is a bit of an inconvenience that he has two offices so the office that is close to my home is only open two days a week, making it more challenging to get an appointment at the time I need, but it is worth it to have such a skilled orthodontist who has worked miracles on my teeth and my bite. I highly recommend Dr. Sjursen and Hillsboro orthodontics.
