The food at Playa is amazing. So fresh. So good…read more The service is always friendly, but their ability to consistently execute a flawless order is what loses them a star. One day we order 4 bowls and they are correct. Nothing crazy, just a few changes. The very next day 3 of the 4 will be wrong. Same order but wrong. It's aggravating and happens often. They also don't mark the bowls. So when the only difference is who got PB& Nutella and all the others have just peanut butter it's impossible to figure out whose bowl is whose without making a mess. You have to dig for it as they never put it on top. Otherwise it is great and we keep coming back.

The boba itself was actually quite good, which is a rarity. The issues for me were the high cost for the drink. The quality was just average, it was too sweet and the tea flavoring was minimal with a powdery milk taste overwhelmed it. Also, the the tea was served hot enough that the ice did not perform its cooling effect for several minutes. The lady that worked there was polite, and did a decent job... But there's no personality at all there. Not a great representation for the restaurant.

I like the coffee shop vibes inside, although it's pretty loud but it's fine. The customer service was great. The lady who took my order was really nice. The restroom was clean. The blueberry muffin was really good, I wish I ordered more items. The top had like a sugar coated shell which was really good and the muffin was soft inside. The coffee was like a perfect medium roast. It had a sweet hint to it. Definitely will try other items next time I am in town.

As an added bonus, I love 95% of the food and other beverage options as well. She sticks to a usual, smash burger Mac and cheese, and I am partial to the short rib Mac and cheese - it is insanely creamy, the pasta is perfect, and it isn't overly cheesy or under cheesy to the point you need to add salt and pepper. I've been known to branch out, though. I have a hard time resisting a bagel with lox and cream cheese... and don't even get me started on capers. They do have table service, and for a place like this it is executed beautifully. Order at the counter, pay, get a number, and your food and/or drink is brought to you in record time. You are checked on a non-invasive amount of times, and even when it is busy we have always been able to find a seat - most of the time in our favorite booth. They have outdoor seating, which is fantastic in the late spring/early summer and autumn. There is a bar outside and festive lights and service out there too! The double drive-thru seems a little daunting for me, but there is always a car or two in it when I am there. Even the parking lot flow is amazing. If you like coffee that is a step or two above Dunks (and don't think for one second that I am not loyal to DD until death), give Pressed a try. Staff is friendly and always busy doing something. At the cheese department, they were absolutely knowledgeable about the types, origins, and their recommendations were spot on. Good training of the staff... obviously. My only recommendation is on the hot food bar. After 1:30, it tends to get picked over and a refreshment of the items is in order.
