The food at Playa is amazing. So fresh. So good. The service is always friendly, but their ability to consistently execute a flawless order is what loses them a star. One day we order 4 bowls and they are correct. Nothing crazy, just a few changes. The very next day 3 of the 4 will be wrong. Same order but wrong. It's aggravating and happens often. They also don't mark the bowls. So when the only difference is who got PB& Nutella and all the others have just peanut butter it's impossible to figure out whose bowl is whose without making a mess. Ordering this on Uber eat. This is my second time order here. I like the pacific green bowl. Not too sweet and they pack a lot of fruits in my order. However, the nica bowl, I just received is too bitter and plain. I can't tasted the honey and the peanut butter flavor. Sad! Playa Bowls opened its Manchester location at the North End Shops at Livingston Park on Hooksett Road over the weekend. They offer a good variety of made to order bowls including acai bowls, pitaya bowls, green bowls, coconut bowls, banana bowls, oatmeal bowls, and chia pudding bowls, priced $9-$12 plus tax. They also offer smoothies, fresh juices, and coffee too! I stopped in here recently and ordered a Pura Vida Acai Bowl ($11 plus tax), which was made to order promptly, packaged and bagged to go. There is limited seating near the front of the store. The Pura Acai Bowl was very sweet, comprised of cold refreshing acai puree, topped with fresh blueberries, fresh strawberries, granola, and honey. This cold sweet treat was just what I needed for a good afternoon snack. read more

I absolutely hate this place. The food's great but that's about it! The music is so unbelievably loud that you can hear it over the blow dryers and music in the salon next door! And the employees are so incredibly rude! Also, why is it required to sign up for an account to order online? And you have to agree to receive emails and text messages from them?! Why?!?! Overall I feel that this wasn't the best experience. This is coming from a frequent customer, I have never really gotten service like this. When ordering, I felt like a bother because of the attitude of the girl taking my order. I ordered a smoothie and a bowl, both delicious. On my way out I accidentally dropped the smoothie, 100% my fault, so I offered to clean up the mess as it was right in-front of the door, they proceeded to say it didn't need to get cleaned up because it was outside..... but it was right in-front of the door. Then I proceeded to get my drink replaced and was charged another $10 and change all over again. As a manager of a food service establishment, if that were to happen at my store I would have made a new drink for the customer with no charge. read more

We ordered two bowls to go! I ordered ahead online which was a very easy and user-friendly experience. When I arrived for pickup, the exterior was very clearly marked, clean and had attractive signage. Upon walking in I was pleasantly surprised! I felt like I transported to a surf town and this is where locals get their fresh healthy fix after a morning of surfing. Super cool! There is a decent amount of seating for such a small place! There were plenty of staff behind the counter, all seemed friendly and welcoming. I was quickly taken care of and my to-go order was stored in the fridge to ensure it would be cold upon pickup. The coconut (and mango) bowl was so delicious! There was so much fruit on top and the bananas and mango both tasted super fresh! The pineapple was good, too, but the flavor was mild so possibly could have been canned or maybe just a less-ripe fresh pineapple. Either way, we enjoyed! It was the perfect take-out brunch on a Saturday. We will definitely be back again! It isn't cheap, but neither are the ingredients so we think it is worth it. Fresh strawberries alone can cost upwards of $6 a container, so compared to buying all the ingredients ourselves it is a pretty good deal. Overall: Great customer service, fresh delicious food! Well let's just say less the good. Started with the order online that's a huge mistake. Arrived to find out my order wasn't ready after 17 min drive from Hooksett. Told one of six workers of my order they assured me that it would be ready soon. Well that was a lie after watching ten er so others get there orders and leave I asked about my order that I already had paid for that's why online ordering sucks and I even tipped them that's some real garbage there to my surprise and shock this employee was unaware that I had a order only to find that the slip for my order was attached to an empty bag on the counter and nobody was filling my order which I could understand if this place had a grill or God forbid they had to cook anything all they have to do is dispense the material in adequate sample amounts or measured amounts put it in a bag and hand it to you. It isn't rocket science. The another ten minutes or so I voiced my displeasure with their service and the timing of their product to which I was met with. Oh I am so sorry. Not nearly as sorry as I was for going there which will never happen again ordering and paying online is a farce had I gone to this place and waited and stood in line in my order had taken this long. I would've walked out and I would've told them to pound sand but what they did is they make sure they get paid first and you're encouraged to tip these idiots only to find that they don't satisfy their end of the bargain. This business is a disgrace. These employees are morons. I don't know where they get said morons, but apparently they have six of them here. Oh sidenote, the order I got wasn't that good wasn't even worth the stress. Your food sucks. Your quality sucks. Your people skills suck. Food is always amazing!! The ambience is nice but not a place where I would really sit and eat, usually get my food to go. The service is mid, could be better. It's just a bunch of high schoolers that work there and they're not very customer service friendly - I walk in and they all just stare decoding who is going to take care of the customer, not ideal customer service which is why I'm giving 3 stars. Update: there is a girl who is tallish with glasses & brown hair who is at the register a lot of times- I'd say most times I go in. I feel bad I don't know her name, maybe they wear name tags and I've just not noticed? Anyway, she is SO nice & friendly. The other girls seem nice too it's just that I interact with that girl since she does the transactions. And she appears to be a really hard worker because usually her sweatshirt is covered in dark purple açaì lol. Just had an interaction with her tonight and wanted to update my review because she's awesome and people like her deserve to be recognized. I went to the playa bowls in manchester with my mom on our way home from the beach, when we entered there was nobody else in the store except the 6 employees with one on break. we ordered at 5:37, I received a confirmation text at 5:39 and I didn't receive my bowls until 5:58. The girls were all talking about college, and the shift leader with a black shirt and glasses was on her phone and talking to her friends that came in. we were sitting there without other customers in the store for the entire time, and my mom and I both used the bathroom. we conversed politely, but when the employees friends received their food before we did, we asked what happened to our order. they had no idea and asked what name it was under, if we ordered together, how long ago we ordered. We had been there the whole time AND we ordered in the store.... but they didn't even notice our order? Or that we weren't receiving bowls? They rushed to complete our açaí bowls in under a minute and forgot toppings that we asked for. This is out of character for play bowls, I grew up going to the original one in Belmar New Jersey, and the one in Nashua is up to par. Let me put it this way. Last time I ordered a chia bowl with strawberry and bananas. My mom picked off a strawberry and was wowed by how fresh it was! She wanted to run out and grab a bowl herself. The food quality is excellent. The portion size is perfect. It fills me up.
