The selection of hanging baskets was absolutely beautiful -- healthy, vibrant, and packed with color. We also picked up several tomato and pepper plants, and everything looked incredibly well cared for and high quality. It's the kind of place where you walk in for "just a couple plants" and leave inspired to redo your whole patio and garden. But the real surprise? The Grill at Sullivan Hardware & Garden. Yes -- a grill inside a garden center, and honestly, it deserves its own destination trip. The baked brie was outstanding, the Reuben was easily a five-star sandwich, and the brisket potato soup was the standout of the meal. Rich, flavorful, comforting, and absolutely packed with brisket flavor. What really made the visit special was seeing owner Pat Sullivan there working right alongside the staff. You can tell this place is built on pride, customer service, and genuine community connection. That personal touch still matters, and it shows in every part of the experience. Great plants, great atmosphere, incredible food, and hands-on ownership. Sullivan absolutely nailed the experience from start to finish. We'll definitely be back soon.

This is a small establishment by appearances, though it's bigger on the inside and roomy enough that I was quite impressed with wheelchair accessibility. Pearl Plants is, you can probably guess, a plant shop. It's level to the ground and has a couple accessible, though not legally, parking spots directly in front of it. I was able to use one of the spots. The doorway is relatively easy to open, though an employee saw me and came over just to make sure I got in. The front room is filled with plants, though they have nice pathways and I had no trouble maneuvering in the wheelchair. They have a fairly wide variety of plants, though it's important to note they're new enough that they're still getting settled and stocked. I was a little concerned with some of the plants that didn't look terrific, though overall the selection was solid and the prices were fair. They had a nice variety of prices, as well. Got a kid that wants a plant? They have the cutest smaller plants that you can get for $4-6. The front room is primarily plants, though they do have some planters and some other smaller plant-related items. There's a room behind the main room that is mainly filled with planters and plant stands and similar equipment. Again, I found the prices fair. Finally, there's also a back room. It includes more plant-related items. They also have art on the wall for sale in the backroom - it seemed mostly plant or nature related. My sense was that it was local. The shop was clean. They were cleaning and requiring masks. Additionally, they had masks laid out at the door (disposable) and some masks for sale. Employees were friendly, though introverted. They were helpful - they regularly offered help but not in an intrusive way. I ended up buying a plant mainly because I want to support the new kid on the block on this hard time. I've been on a plant binge lately and I may be in trouble having a plant shop so close to my house. I'll definitely be back. I'll likely wait for them to get a bit more settled. I'd like to get a bigger plant for my home and parking is close enough to the door here that it will be easier to facilitate. With friendly employees, a welcoming environment, a nice selection, and good prices this is a nice addition to the SoBro area and here's hoping the word gets out. I will confess I pondered a 4-star rating here. However, I'm giving the "newly opened" curve and the benefit of the doubt. I like this place a lot and am leaning upward and sticking with the 5-star.

There are many glass shapes and accessories to choose from. You pay for the glass and plant (choose from air plants or cacti) and the soil, sand, moss, pebbles, and smaller accessories are no cost. He told me he had never seen or heard of anything being online as I was offering to show him the info on my phone. I was confused about this reaction because it was this store that prompted me to sign up for the awards program online in the first place. He seemed agitated and cut me off mid-sentence and walked away from the register. He also said he would 'check with someone.' The cashier and I were both confused by this. She asked him to confirm whether or not he was talking to someone else about it while he was standing 10 feet away noticeably not busy. He scoffed and replied 'I'm not doing that today' while rolling his eyes. The cashier looked uncomfortable and apologized to me. The manager didn't care if I made a purchase or not. I'm not sure if he was in a bad mood before I came in, but he was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional in a situation that could have easily been treated with more grace. The other Sullivan locations nearby have been amazing with their customer service. I recommend shopping with any one of them instead.

I truly love plants and when youwalked in, they were plants, soil, specialty cocktail, drinks, soft, music, and cute charcuterie boards! We were able to walk around and swap some of the plants and the service was amazing. Amy was really helpful. I do think my only feedback would be having some type of signal or sign that informs others if they are willing to swap or if they are there to just repot their plants. I awkwardly walked up to someone hoping to swap plants and she was repotting her plants to take back to her house lol. So maybe some type of sign or visual so then we won't walk around and disrupt others. But for the most part everyone was amazing, and eagerly excited to swap plants I will be back.
