If you are searching for a company to work with for making sports uniforms, dance apparel, corporate wear or fundraising gear these are the people to work with. P&M has a program for creating a customized online store for your team, school or organization. This can be run as a fundraiser or just a convenient way to organize the orders for your group. They also have a showroom on the square in Polk City if you want to meet in person. The best part of working with P&M is the customer service. They were very responsive and helped me design my team's logo, jerseys and some cool apparel for the parents of our team (jackets, banners, t-shirts, etc). I definitely recommend P&M and will be using them again next year.

Chris and P & M apparel were amazing to work with! I called around to several local screen…read moreprinting shops to get quotes on T-shirts that we wanted to sell for a school basketball fundraiser. I explained to each shop that we wanted to make the T-shirts as inexpensive, yet as nice, as possible so that we could sell many and increase our fundraising donation. All the DSM Metro shops that I tried were pretty unaccommodating... So I decided to call P&M in Polk city to see if they were any more willing to work with us. Chris was SO GREAT. He did everything he could to try to bring our price point down! He even had his artists do the artwork for us from a very rough sketch! Not only did we have a price point budget, but we also gave him a very small time margin which he completely worked with us on and made it happen! This is an example of why I love working with small, local businesses! They are the ones that will go out of their way to help you! If you are anywhere in the central Iowa area do yourself a favor and call P&M apparel for any promotional products or if you need any sort of T-shirts printed or embroidered! Heidi

So my wife and I thought, she could draw up a design and we could bring it to a local print shop to have the shirts made. I'm so glad we chose 87 Central, we brought our own design in and the staff there were super sweet and ready to help! Even for an order of only 12 shirts, they treated us like we were a huge order. They whipped up a mock on the computer and asked us when we could pick them up later that day! I thought it might take a few weeks to get such a special order made, but they had it ready for us in the matter of hours! I thought it was cool how many American Apparel color options they had in store, so we didn't need to make a special order, even though we had kids sizes, women's fit, and a couple of 2x orders. The staff went over all the cost with us, and even gave us a little deal since we designed the designed ourselves! When we arrived to pick up the order later in the day, it was hanging with other orders completed on a little hanger in a special canvas bag with our name on it that we got to keep. The service was above and beyond and I highly recommend using 87 Central if you plan on getting t-shirts made for an event or for your next family reunion.

I found the manufacturer that day and asked if they could order from them and they said sure, no problem. Then the design.. I gave him a pic of my business card for a style to go from and Shawn went the whole other way.. Frustrated by this I made my own design and sent it to him.. He said he was working on it. I see the design, FOUR days after he said he would have it done, and it looked nothing like what I had made.. He said he couldn't open the picture so he just made something else up. WHAT!?!?!!!! In the real world we have deadlines. And when you tell someone it will be done, it should be done! There were so many emails that I had sent to him that were unreplied, I felt like I had to keep prodding them along to get something done that ended up being nothing! I did not order shirts with them, they couldn't get a design right and were wasting my time! I really wanted to keep my money in the community, if you do too try broken arrow printing, ABC sign, or custom ink. Try anywhere but here!

The inside is gorgeous. So clean, fresh and bright. Considering the product being sold, I love the simplicity of the decor. There are few tables and the walls are covered in adorable, colorful cards and other stationary. It's easy to find what you need (and maybe what you don't!). Whenever I need to buy a card for a birthday, baby shower, etc. I go here. I hate the tacky cards you find at WalMart or Target. These are simple, cute and free of stupid sayings. I've also purchased notebooks, planners, monogrammed stationary and their pens. I love everything I've brought home with me. I have the pens in probably every color and they are the BEST. For Christmas, I sent my father here to get me a gift, because I knew he couldn't buy anything I wouldn't like! The staff has always been sweet when I go in, too. Which is so important. Extremely disappointed with the finished product. It was my American Legion Cap. Nearly 3 years ago I took my Legion cap in to have the word "Commander" embroidered on the side. Gold letters. Came out perfect. Last week returned to have "Past" embroidered above, in smaller letters. When my cap was sent back to me. The word 'Past' was way larger than requested. Shocked. Not at all what I wanted or how it should look on the cap. So upset & displeased. I cut out the stitching myself. UPDATE: This business did get back to me to redo/refund. However, I will not take my cap back. As I do not wish to take the chance of having it damaged.
