The toy rotation keeps my kids occupied when we are there and excited to swing in for an amazing coffee (IN A REAL MUG) and my favorite (the one and only) breakfast pizza. Villa Meola has become the safe haven of my mom friends and mine. A refuge of sorts where our kids can be kids and we can breath easy as we are reminded they have not just a right to be in the public, but are wanted there. The toys are so creatively organized with wall hangings and baskets. Recently, we have been invited to a birthday celebration and even had a small one of our own and Villa Meola hung a simple banner that really made us feel so welcome. They are getting so inventive with both the food and drink while sticking to their strict clean and simple/ minimal ingredient food standards with their authentic Italian tastes. Midnight Taco has moved in which creates a very unique and fun curation of cultures and families but it's fun! Still just so grateful for a not so hidden gem to enjoy.

The lady working behind the counter was friendly and walked me through their menu and most popular items. I purchased a Power Green smoothie (kale, spinach, pineapple and mango). She was helpful in ensuring there was no dairy in this drink but there is dairy and nuts in other selections so people with allergies please be careful. The smoothie was $10 which is higher than I've paid in the past at places like Robek's and Jamba Juice. It was very well blended and smooth going down with a sweeter taste from the pineapple and mango. I can tell they used higher quality ingredients but since they blend it in the back I couldn't actually see the amount of fruit and veggies used. One of the most important factors in a coffee shop to me, is consistency. It is truly key. Quite like science, pulling a good shot of espresso takes skill and knowledge. There is so much that goes into it, that many may not realize. Charlee Rose offers this EVERY SINGLE TIME. Never bitter, never sour. Smooth and velvety every time. My go to drink was the Salted Maple Latte w/ Banana cold foam, but I've discovered a new favorite. Caramelized Banana latte w/ banana cold foam. It hits the spot every time. Be sure to check their social media for fun drinks they're whipping up that may not be shown on their standard menu. Oh and expect a line! There is always line...I mean that's a good thing right? It means there's something really yummy waiting for you behind the counter. Service is also amazing every time.
