So we went and it indeed had everything. The longest line was for Grill City. In all honesty, I feel like Grill City is a bit overhyped. The kare kare didn't taste like my father-in-law's. He makes the best kare kare. But you can't beat home cooking. Too bad my FIL is in CA. The liempo was good, but how can you really mess up grilled pork belly? However, I did like Sizzle. Their bangus sisig on a grilled platter was so delicious! I was jealous of my husband's pick. I also really loved the items at Valerio. Reminds me of Panorama City in CA. Everything here was light and bright and it smelled clean. Would I come back? Only if I'm in town. Next time I'll bring a big cooler.

There's also a bakery and dessert section with halo-halo (always tempting), plus another vendor selling soups. The food court has a good amount of seating, though it can definitely get busy depending on the day. Overall, a great place to check out if you're looking for something you don't normally see. I asked for 1/2 pound of salmon and ended up paying $26. The gentleman working was nice but was unable to butcher any of the whole fish and even had trouble getting the skin off of the piece of salmon I purchased. Probably will not be retuning.

I bought several crab cakes to try out their freshness. I made my own remoulade sauce and they were excellent! Lou is extremely forward with his sales and pride in the freshness of his product. You will be smelling all of his fish before you leave with it. However, you won't be disappointed. Prices are higher than chain stores however, you get what you pay for.... If you can find cheaper truly clean, none chemically treated, FRESH fish, chances are you went back to nature and caught it yourself. I used to go crabbing and fishing as a kid and by the time everything is said and done.... Lou takes the hassle out of it all for us older folks...

I like coming to this 99 Ranch location because it's conveniently surrounded by so many other…read morestores. It's close to Costco and H-Mart, and near H-Mart you'll also find Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jours. There's an 85°C nearby as well and with Costco right next door, you could easily spend half a day hopping between all these places. On weekends, traffic can be pretty crazy and parking isn't easy since everyone shops then. However, if you come on a weekday especially outside of lunchtime--it's much easier to find a parking spot. Inside 99 Ranch, there's a food court with options like San dong noodles, dim sum, stir-fry dishes, and Chinese barbecue. On the other side of the plaza, there are also several restaurants, including Korean spots and Vietnamese crawfish places. As for the store itself, there are always clearance items near the Kung Fu Tea area, which we usually check out before heading in to shop for fruits, produce, vegetables--pretty much everything. I found my favorite Japanese soy milk but this was banana flavored. Way too sweet for me and it was $4/carton. It's a large store and they offer a loyalty program. If it's your first time visiting 99 Ranch, you could easily spend an hour just roaming the aisles. There's so much to see--it almost feels like a little field trip every time we go.
