Another exceptional meal at Captain Anderson's! Tonight I had the fried oysters and they were…read moreprepared to crispy perfection! Lightly breaded, plump and flavorful, they were delicious. My husband had the grilled shrimp and he loved those as well. David was our server and he was great! Kerim is our favorite server but David is really wonderful as well, and we enjoyed their banter while we ate. There are good restaurants here in PCB, but few serve a salad, side, rolls, and hush puppies with your meal. I love baked potatoes and theirs are so good. I love the old Florida seafood house atmosphere of the place; it's been here a long time and they know what they're doing. Food is always good, service is practiced and exceptional, and the restaurant feels like home. Come here often and get to know the servers. They are masters at their craft and when you've come often enough, they'll greet you like family. Rare experience in restaurants these days, especially in a tourist town. Captain Anderson's does hospitality right!

Upon entering we were rudely greeted. I'm easy going but the lady at the front desk insisted that…read moreour group of eight be there to be seated.... Didn't ask us, just said.... We were all there waiting for her to get off the phone. Maybe she was just having a bad day. Food felt manufactured like you'd get at a theme park. Mains and sides came on separate plates, for the price you would expect better plating. And the oddity was the security guard with a vest that stated such. He stared at our table the entire hour plus we were there. Mind you, there were four 50 somethings and a couple college kids. No need for security. I asked him after dinner, he was there as a deterrent. I have no idea or history, but that's odd to me.

First off, I am the most critical person when it comes to catering and High end services…read more Second, we are foodies and enjoy great food. Chef Franco and Nicki came to our vacation rental last night and cooked dinner for 15 of us. They made everything perfect. From menu selection to the day of the party, it was all easy and perfect. Chef Franco showed up on time and brought everything he could possibly need. We picked out a gulf shrimp appetizer, followed by crab cakes. When I tell you these were the best crab cakes I have ever eaten.... I am craving them right now !!! We also had sautéed crab claws, which were plentiful and delicious. At that point, we were all full, but went on to have a Caesar salad, which again was perfection. Throughout this whole eating frenzy, we delighted in watching chef cook every part of the meal. He is not only a phenomenal chef, but so knowledgeable about the area and other parts of Florida. It made for a great dinner conversation. The main course consisted of filet mignon, and a grilled lobster tail. Accompaniments included green beans, and a homemade Mac and cheese. Just watching him make the mac & cheese, the entire room was salivating. Every aspect of the meal was beyond delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection to everyone's personal liking. Finally, we barely had enough room for dessert, but managed to get it down. Dessert was a bourbon bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Again, this was exquisite. I am a bread, pudding, fan, and some may even say, an aficionado, and I can say this was among the best !!! Chef and Nina then proceeded to clean up the kitchen and package up all of our leftovers into the refrigerator. They left the kitchen cleaner then we found it when we got the house. Every aspect of this evening was fantastic !!!

Every single dish was awesome, and my guests are still talking about how wonderful the food was. We plan on vacationing to Panama City Beach again and we will be sure to have 30a vacation chef cook for us each time! In fact, my father-in-law said he wanted to hire 30a vacation chef DAILY! You will not be disappointed!!
