However, they still have a couple of anchors left including Dick's Sporting Goods and Boscov's. Other large locations include the TJ Maxx and the Middlesex County Library. They're opening a Yale Health Clinic here soon, too. Other smaller stores of interest to me were Champ's Sports, FootLocker and Ramani's Clothier. There are some options in the food court, but not a ton. Only two places, Charley's Steaks and Tokyo Express were open when I visited. There's a Ruby Tuesday's and Cajun Restaurant near here, too. The mall is clean, which is nice. Easy to navigate, too. Altogether, Meriden Mall isn't the best mall, but it's nice and has some good stores.

I asked her why are all tables except the one I inquired about, recognized the sale. She said "We're not going to sell that table for $150". I guess they announce a sale on "All" specific items, except for those they choose not to sell at the sale price. There's no personality in there, no smiles, no normalcy. The negative energy in that place is very obvious.

Today was the first time they did not have my size, but it wasn't a problem because their employee who was very helpful ordered them online for me, and they will be shipped to my house free of charge. I love selecting my items. Then, reality sets in... CHECK OUT. Then this Disney creation turns into the saddest place on Earth. It's sad to see folks so reliant on the items wait in the cue and then pack their cars - only to have to unpack it at their business - and I dread those putting shellfish in the trunk in the heat of August (I hope they're wearing Resto gear, etc) so I can choose another place for clams... I love it. The prices have gone up, there's less and less delta from what a foodservice distributor will cost. But I do enjoy selecting some items (especially produce) myself. Just... I'll always continue to get my proteins and perishables (especially fish) from a delivered refer truck.

The store was not very clean, and the staff did not appear to be interested in working or being friendly. Parking was easily accessible. It is possible that it wasn't crowded because there really wasn't much in the way of quality or value in the entire store.
