If you are needing or looking for a cobbler...look no further. Head over to the Shoe Guy in Boise. 50+ years of cobbling. Amazing work. Great price. Beware that it can take a bit of time to get your shoes back but it's worth it!! read more

Very unprofessional attitude with extended wait times! Would not recommend this shop for boot repair!

The problem with this shoe repair place is that you can't get a simple shoe repair. I needed a heel tip -- the little replaceable plastic/rubber piece on the very bottom of a high heel that wears down or snaps off and is easily replaced. They said it would take them THREE MONTHS to do this. I drove 30 minutes to get there, left with my broken shoe. Don't bother!! read more

Nice guy. Just wish that he didn't trash the inside of my dress shoes in the process of repairing them. I don't know that he wants women's shoes to repair. I guess I will try one more time.... but it is worth it for me to drive some distance... Twin Falls even, to get new heels without the inside of the shoe getting trash ( ripped, liner cracked or stripped off, etc). My experience has not been good so far. read more

I'll disagree with the chick from TF. I'm a woman and he's been repairing my shoes/ heels for about 15 plus years. Never ruined any. I'll also disagree with Melissa R, shoe guy has replaced my heel tips and John, yes, he's a little gruff but that's just how he is, as I heard him saying he wishes he could retire. Cash only at first I thought was bothersome BUT in the long run, I'd rather be cash only then having to use a debit or credit card. No internet wire fraud with cash. read more

Friendly customer service. My bag got fixed at a reasonable price. Wait time varies. I had my bag fixed in a month. So plan ahead if you need your item fixed by a certain time frame. read more

Cash only, fairly gruff service, proprietor missed telling me about a hole in my sole (and I would have paid him to repair it).

Super good work but it is a one man shoe so it takes forever! Like 2 months. He is a very kind man though!!

I was actually recommended to The Shoe Guy by someone from Boot Barn who was unable to help me. I brought three pairs of boots in this summer and had them all repaired for an overall total of $50! Pricing was great. I needed new boot inserts for two pairs, and a hole fixed in another, and I got exactly that. Wait time was about a month but worth it. Very kind man as well. I'm happy with the service! read more

This guy is amazing!! He repaired a sandal for me a few months ago. I just noticed right before a trip that an area that he had not repaired was coming apart. He sewed it up immediately so I didn't have to come back! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

Had a great experience at this store. Everything was handled excellently and professionally. Definitely recommend!

Wow, does that shoe guy know how to fix my cowboy boots? He's the best in the hole treasure Valley.

Come here every time I have any shoe-related issues or needs for attention. The guy who runs the place is super friendly, and though he can't do it all with certain repair-related circumstances, he does offer all possible solutions! Definitely recommend to any Boise citizen. read more

Had 4 pairs of shoes shined. Yup, shined well and taking more in!! Very good quality and price is very reasonable. It may take a few days, but they are busy for a reason. Just love the location and quality! read more

My wife and I have gotten Lots of Value from the Shoe Guy!!!! Service is professional, reliable and prompt! He can do anything with leather shoes and soles!!! He also sold me a tube of Shoe Goo ($10) a while back and I have done 3 repairs by myself. Everybody needs a tube if Shoe Goo!!!!! I fixed my sandals (chewed apart by my new puppy Rocco) twice and re-glued the sole that started to be un done on my Johnson & Murphy dress shoes and I still have almost a full tube of Shoe Goo ready to seal our rubber boots during the upcoming cold and rainy seasons. We drive all the way from Star to Boise to get his expert service!! read more

This business provides a valuable service- rescuing your favorite shoes to extend their lives and keeping them out of the landfill! I brought my favorite boots in, which had completely lost one sole and about to lose the others. They re-soled my expensive boots for a fraction of the price of buying new ones. The price was very reasonable. read more

Old time shoe repair shop seldom found anymore in this world of throw away shoes. Try them for any shoe or leather repair

I took a pair of Nike boots in to have the soles reglued. I felt the glue application was messy, in that there's glue all over the sides of the shoes. I picked them up on Friday, and they fell apart on the following Monday. Complete waste of my time and money. read more

Both of my repairs to my work shoes were done in minutes while I waited and were less $ than I thought would be! Can't even comprehend going anywhere else in ALL of the Treasure Valley for our shoe repair needs. Both thumbs and both big toes UP for this place! read more

I went in to the shoe guy to get a brass fitting on my Birkenstock clogs fixed, the guy was pretty grumpy and stand off ish but I didn't pay too much attention to it, the price was fair and my shoes were done in good time. Not even a week after i picked them up the shoes broke in the same place again. So I went back to the store, explained the situation, and immediately the man who was helping me got grumpy and was not happy to help me. He told me there were a few different fittings he could put on the shoe so I asked to see them against the shoe (soon as they were black and silver against the tan shoe) I thought this was a reasonable request cause I would like to see if it would stand out or not, yet again did he got angry and short with me. He brought my fixed shoe back out, threw it across the counter, and didn't say a word. I was shocked by this very unprofessional behavior for a business that had so many good reviews. I thought I'd give it another go but after not one, but two bad experiences, I will definitely not be going back to the shoe guy. If you feel like being greeted by a grumpy old shoe repair guy, then this is the place for you. P.S. I am a 16 year old girl and was treated very horribly, to the point I am writing my first yelp review because my experience was so poor with this business. read more

My go-to for shoe repair for almost 20 years. This business was formerly in Boise Towne Square Mall and I'm so glad they moved to a much more convenient location! Very reasonable prices and high quality work. I've brought in everything from my Frye boots to my 8" stripper heels over the years and they never disappoint in terms of quality, cost and customer service. Try the Shoe Guy- you'll thank me later! read more

I've never actually stepped foot (no pun intended) in this store but today I called to see if I could bring a pair of patent leather shoes in to get "shined" and wait on them, I needed them ASAP. The gentleman said they could but he gave me instructions so I could clean/shine my shoes at home, I'm SO appreciative as he saved me a trip to his store and a lot of time. I will definitely bring my shoes here in the future based on his integrity and candor. Thank you sir! read more

Took a beloved but OLD (20+ years) pair of suede flats in to be refurbished. Completely new soles/heels, and a difficult touch-up on some faded spots. Took about two weeks (the time they quoted me). Very pleased with the results, and most important, the hand-work. These skills aren't easy to find anymore, so am very glad to find them in town! read more

Fast and friendly service. They shined my boots up and educated me on caring for them properly. Got me set up with the correct polish and protector as well. No pushy sales, friendly and knowledgeable. Affordable prices as well. If you need anything visit them! read more

We took our daughter's shoe to this business to get repaired. The folks there were so polite and great to work with. They gave us an expected completion date and delivered on their word. This is the only place I go to get a shoe fixed or even bag! I didn't even know that these places exist lol. Today I went to get my bag strap fixed & it was really quick, I was able to get it like 2 minutes. I also brought a leather jacket that needs bottons fixed but the owner told me that I can fixed it easily (he asked me if I know how to sew, he doesn't want me to pay that much) he gave me a thread for free that I can use, so helpful. read more

I walked in here a couple of weeks ago, hoping to get a pistol holster modified; not a big job. I did not get the proprietor's name but he could not have been more accommodating or helpful. He dropped what he was doing and went to work to solve the problem, all the while with courtesy, professionalism and a sense of humor. After spending at least fifteen minutes on the little project, which was completed to my satisfaction (maybe more time), he charged me five bucks! Five Bucks!!! He went on to say that if the problem was not solved that I could bring it back and he'd work on it some more. Now I ask you, "What more could you possibly want as a customer, eh?" While he was working on this, other customers were in and out, picking-up their shoes, which had been repaired ... I'd say, hmmmm, maybe three or four other customers. I could not help but overhear the conversations as these customers paid for the shoe repairs. I heard nothing but favorable comments from these customers; not one complaint. BTW, they have lots of other shoe care products, cleaners, polishes, leather softeners ... shoe laces (of course, but a HUGE selection). It would be difficult for me to imagine a better experience. read more
