This home is amazing. As regular escape room fanatics this home was challenging and fun. The house is as described and much more. The hosts are welcoming and went above and beyond for our stay. I will be returning for sure to solve the mystery!

Outside, front door

Absolutely spectacular, best escape room experience ever. To notch hosts with an emersive experience, the only bad part is that I have already done it!

This is one of many of my AHA!!! moments while solving the mystery.

I even hear it's been a movie set a time or two. Wow! First time here was way back in 2002 for an event during the 15th Annual International Nissan Z Car Club Convention. Second was in 2018 for Old West Christmas Light Fest which was such a lovely event with all the lights at night and fire pits for s'mores. Third time is a charm in 2019 for both a private event in Dec during their light fest. I really do enjoy here, love the atmosphere on the ranch, and the friendliness of the owners and staff. Enchanted Springs is a perfect setting for a true Old West / Texas experience event. Everything included, even some live Longhorn cattle can be found around these parts. Yee Haw!

Not terrible, not delicious. A trick roper entertained us. He was pretty good. During the holiday season, they have a light show at night.

It's easy to see why this is one of the most visited cave sites for tourism worldwide and the…read moremost-visited in Texas. It's a very well-developed cave to visit. By "developed", I mean that lighting and a path has been installed to make traversing it A LOT easier than when it was discovered. By "path", I mean smooth, textured, non-slip, paved sidewalks from one end of the tour to the other--complete with stainless steel handrails along almost every step of it. The effort it took to make a cave system this accessible is beyond commendable. At one end of one of the tours there is a long uphill slope to get out of the cavern, but you don't have to walk--they have a roller/conveyor belt that you stand on and ride to the top. The erosion-carved rocky "rooms" of the cave system defy description. They are up to 100 feet tall, 100 feet wide, and over 200 feet long, and are filled with otherworldly mineral formations that have been actively "growing" for millions of years. Photos don't do this justice. When you see it in person, it's just breathtaking. Adult-only tours would be an occasional welcome option, as a less-than-silent baby/toddler ruins the silence that the below-ground space allows. Parking is abundant, but it is not free. Even out in the spacious Texas Hill Country they decided that $10 per car was appropriate. I hate paying to park (anywhere), and in a rural setting like this, it just feels like such a shameless money-grab! I wish they'd just charge more for the tours and let us feel like parking is "free". More intensive, deeper tours for small groups that require higher effort into undeveloped parts of the caverns are offered on a limited basis. This sounds like something worth returning for.

I didn't realize that Tykes is on the bottom level of the regular course, which was nice because it meant we all got to be in the same place. The people were nice and competent. If I could change one thing, I think the zip rails needed some lubricant. By 45 minutes both of my tweens were tired out. They enjoyed the gift shop while I finished out the highest zip rails, which were thankfully a little bit faster than the lower ones.

Well, I'm from Orlando, which I swear is the escape room capital of the world. There are 1,000,000 of them by the parks. I've done a few in San Antonio and recently did one here (the 90s room). It was okay. We had to ask for a clue which we didn't have to do for the last 8-10 escape rooms...so it wasn't too easy...but it was just very...plain. The room is a 90s bedroom, the puzzles are all locks and keys...there just wasn't the same production quality or interesting puzzles put into it. Maybe it was the theme and the other rooms are better...but it was...not boring...but plain. Just very plain. Also, I wouldn't say I was offended by this...BUT...they advertise themselves as family friendly. Which is fine either way. BUT if you do that...probably should not have curse words in the music playing in the room or an entire puzzle that is basically one long masturbation joke. Thankfully my wife explained it to my 7 year old son better than I could and in a sort of age appropriate way (as in she left out a bunch of the thought behind it). Again, not offended, but certainly unexpected considering how they position themselves.
