First let me say customer service was terrible with the exception of Rayden. He was very helpful. We did Carnevil and the room itself was super fun even challenging. The non linear aspect was a great idea but needed some direction as we progressed we did not know if we missed something, the games itself needed so much help as we asked for hints we were doing the correct thing all along but it just was not registering. Elijah was great--friendly, helpful, and a fun game master. We've visited multiple times and completed several escape rooms here, so we're definitely repeat customers. About a month ago, we escaped Carnevil. Despite a few technical issues and glitches with some of the puzzles, we really enjoyed the room. It was packed with decorations, had a great atmosphere, and the puzzles were challenging and engaging. We had such a good experience that we decided to come back for another visit. This time, we played "The Other Side" based on an employee recommendation, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The puzzles weren't very challenging, the room felt short, and the overall experience fell flat compared to other rooms we've done. The set design and decorations were also fairly minimal, making it less immersive than we expected. We were so underwhelmed that we decided to pay for another room immediately afterward. We chose "Society Zero," and it was a completely different experience. The puzzles were much more challenging and engaging, there were more of them, and the room's decor and atmosphere were just better. We escaped that room as well and had a much more enjoyable time. While "The Other Side" wasn't for us, we'd definitely recommend "Society Zero" for anyone looking for a more immersive and challenging escape room experience. So fun!! I went with a group of friends this past weekend and we all had a great time! We were able to use a Groupon and it was $38 each for our group of 5. You reserve ahead of time online and there is a waiver you will need to sign. The staff were very informative and welcoming. They asked us if we needed hints when they noticed we were stuck. The School of Magic theme was very immersive with lots of puzzles. Perfect for Harry Potter fans! The facility was clean and the room was comfortable. They have lockers to put away personal belongings and I noticed that they sell drinks and souvenirs in the lobby. One of the pros for this location is that it's a private room so you will only be playing with your group! We had 1 hour to solve all the puzzles and escaped the room with 10 minutes to spare! Highly recommend if you like escape rooms/puzzles. I would even recommend this as a team building event for work. I would love to come back to try another game! read more

We went for my fiancé's birthday to play the CarnEvil escape room and we all had a blast. You can do a hard or easy version and we chose to do the easy version to have a less anxious experience. We were able to get help throughout the experience which was nice. I don't have pictures of the room to post, I think it's best to be surprised, but I will tell you there are two rooms involved with this particular experience. The business is located on the 2nd floor and there was plenty of parking in the shopping center it's nestled inside. There are promos right now to get 50% off when you book Mon-Thurs and other promos for the weekend. I saw the promos on their Instagram stories so be sure to follow them if you want to save money. I recommend doing this with friends and right now they don't mix groups so whomever you sign up with will be the only people you play with, even if it is just yourself. My husband surprised the family with our first escape room adventure. IT WAS SO FUN! Due to the time we were available, we ended up in a very challenging room, but it was amazingly FUN! The hour went by quickly, but I think that was due in part to us being novices. Will definitely do another room! The attendant informed us they are changing out the room we did, which is a bummer, because we really wanted to go back and try to finish it! Super fun Escape Room with excellent service ! Arranged a team building outing for my coworkers and I. I completed the "Otherside" room which was very interactive, immersive and fun! The puzzles weren't overly complicated and were super unique. Extreme Escape was super accommodating! The general manager Mike answered all my questions over email and made the booking process super easy. We were able to book two rooms easily and start at the same time to see who finished the fastest (my team won hehe). He was understanding when I asked to change the booking date and the party size more than once. He made it a 10/10 experience for sure! Love it! Me and my dad did the "Other Side" escape room, which is a parody escape room of stranger things, and we loved it! We both watched Stranger Things together and this brought back memories of the show. Puzzles: 10/10. Theming: 10/10. The only thing that bothered my was how dark it was, I could barely read some of the papers in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Andrew. There's an alien themed, stranger things, indiana jones, and a haunted cabin. Depending on the size of your group you can do a private booking or sign up for a specific time and join fellow "escapers". I really like how immersive the clues are and they definitely force you to think "outside of the box". The rooms are really well done and there is so much attention to detail. Your group will also get to enjoy a few different rooms within the escape room. The staff is very helpful and super friendly. It was about a 12-minute drive from the Extreme Escape Colonnade location to their Stone Oak location and it's quite a different scenery here. Stone Oak location is inside a shopping complex and it can be easily seen on the second floor as they occupy pretty much the whole space up there. There's plenty of parking. The lobby is lot more spacious here. You can choose to sit on the comfortable couches or the torture chair while sipping away your cold beverage (beer and wine complimentary to adults!). In this location we tried "The Cursed" room. As ESCAPETHEROOMers ventured into a cabin in the woods, we realized this is not a normal cabin. The witch has put an evil spell and captured our souls. We must reverse the spell and escape! There are definitely a few "jumpy" moments in the room where we thought the "witch" was coming for us, but rest assured there are no live actors in this room. This is when you know the special effects of the lighting, sound, and smoke are utilized just right. Although we definitely heard a lot more screaming coming from the room next door so we're very curious as to what lies on "The Other Side" (another theme room at this location). The room was very well designed and things that aren't supposed to move are bolted down so there's not a lot of red herrings. Everything that was movable was utilized once. You really can tell the props used are very true to the storyline. There was a puzzle that took a bit more time as it had to be really precise and it was a bit sensitive. You really needed to have great eye and hand coordination for one of the puzzles. One thing we realized in both rooms that we've tried with Extreme Escape is that we were able to get out with ample time left with just the two of us. We love to see some more intricate puzzles that perhaps would be a it more challenging for experienced players in the future. We did see one puzzle use that was similar to the one we did in the "Undead" room at the Colonnade location. I came to this location with a bunch of military friends because of an add that said free military Mondays. We asked the ticket clerk about it and she wasn't familiar with it. Which is upsetting, since it's on the website. Another guy came out and told us that they do have the offer but only one person out of the group can get in for free. Which this was unfair to everybody in the group. However, the escape room was pretty well set up. We did one of the escape rooms and had a good time. Although it was pretty hard, it had a total of 3 rooms in one game. read more

Good escape room experience. Made a reservation for four hoping to have a private group and was paired up with others. We arrived on time but waited 10-15 min because they were running late. We chose The Cursed puzzle and really liked it. Clues came through as text on a screen opposed to a speaker. You only receive a third clue if you check in on Facebook to help their marketing. Garbage. I have gone to the one at the Colonnade and have never had any problems. Enjoyed it every time, and I have done each room with one room doing twice. And if you are wanting to come, DO NOT do The Other Side. You are left in a room with absolutely no direction on where to start or even what to do next. We are spent over 5 minutes trying to get a BROKEN lock to open up,with no time given back. And a flashlight was a key component in getting the next clue, but good thing the flashlight was broken. This was our first time at Extreme Escape. We did the Lost Tomb for a friends birthday. We were a group of 6 and that was a good amount for the size of the rooms within this challenge. The clues were definitely somewhat challenging, forcing you to really pay attention and work together to complete some of the tasks. Some of the items were a little worn/ not functioning properly so, that delayed us in one step (don't want to give anything away!). But you are allowed to ask 3 clues if you get stuck. I think this is a great activity for any small group. Really forced us to work together. The staff was really nice, very welcoming. They explained the rules, etc. and made sure we were all comfortable with what she said before we began. I would bring your phone with you (you are allowed to take it in, you just can't take photos of the clues/ videos that are given). We used the flashlights on our phones a lot to see better since it was dark in there (it was expected since we were in a "tomb" but helpful nonetheless). Overall a fun experience. I would definitely do another one. They've got a handful of different themes. If you go on the website they give you a rundown of what age is appropriate for each theme. read more

Our team of 3 adults and 4 middle schoolers (6th, 7th, and 8th graders) tried the Encounter room yesterday. You're trapped on a spaceship and must complete the mission before time is up. Only two of us, my son and I, had ever been in an escape room before (a fun time at Extreme Escape's I 10 location). Every single member of our team contributed something essential to our escape -- we made it with only 7 minutes to spare. It made for an incredibly exciting Sunday afternoon! Your cell phone isn't going to help you figure out the challenges. Keen attention to details, perseverance, and a critical eye and thinking is what's required. This is a memorable experience as a team building exercise or bonding with your friends, even an unique family adventure since even Grandma and Grandpa can participate! The room's setting and props make you feel like you are trapped on a spaceship. And you are not alone... Great customer service, too-- we asked for clues and got good ones that helped us get to the next challenge. We are already stoked to come again for a different adventure. Decent room but our experience was plagued with several equipment malfunctions and the staff wasn't quick to address them, instead giving us clues to what we were already doing correctly. They eventually had to come in to fix it but we wasted a lot of time banging our heads against the wall. Doesn't sound like equipment will be fixed anytime soon so don't recommend going back. read more

Two stars because all the equipment was not working. They also did not give us all the necessary information in order to solve the puzzle. They did not tell us how to reset the lock. The manager said he was super sorry for them not giving us the information and for having faulty equipment but did not offer to remedy anything. But after spending $130 for 4 people plus babysitting fees this should have been a bigger deal to them than it was. The room idea is great, but execution is very poor. I do see that the manager has responded to my review. They have offered to refund the money to my card and give me free tickets. I will update if this does actually happen. I also want them to know that it wasn't just the crank. The crank did literally lose screws while it was turning, but it was also the star in room one didn't activate what it was supposed to, the lights in room two didn't work, some message was supposed to display but that didn't work, lights were burned out, and the person didn't tell us that we would need to reset the lock. It was just all a big mess. I hope that all these problems have been solved. read more

Extreme Escape is a great place I like to go to with my boyfriend when we want to have fun outside the house. This particular location has a nice and friendly staff who provide individualized attention to each of their clients. Since we tend to be competitive individuals, we try to schedule rooms with just us two. So we don't ruin the fun for other people. The staff is really good about allowing us to switch rooms if they are empty. It's a great (and reasonably priced) way to have fun for an hour that involves interaction with others, while at the same time being mentally stimulating. The only real issue I had was with one of the rooms during our visit. This room was very complicated and required several specific sequences. So, when we were solving one of the puzzles, the room was not registering it. When the game master saw we were struggling with this for about 15 minutes, he told us how to solve it. Turns out the room didn't recognize which stage we were at. So we were doing it correctly, but the room was telling us we were wrong. The game master ended up setting the room to the correct stage, but it still took up a lot of time. Other than that, it was a great experiences, and the other rooms are really fun! My group did Lost Tomb. I really liked that the rooms were "generation 2" (there were multiple small rooms that you opened up as you went) However, I feel like some of the content was sacrificed in order to have this. There weren't many clues and there weren't any cool trinkets to enhance the atmosphere. The sound and lighting effects were impressive, though. Additionally, one of the puzzles that we had to use a clue for had no indication of the answer anywhere. Without giving too much away, we had to assume that something represented even numbers, while there was nothing that hinted at it until we were specifically told. I thoroughly enjoyed the escape rooms at the other location, as they were challenging and took up the entire time with the large number of puzzles and locks. This location lacked that. We finished with 20 minutes left, even with us being stuck for a while on a puzzle. Lastly, one of the rooms was filled with snake stuff and I have an extreme phobia. I can't blame extreme escape for that, but I thought I should mention in case someone else had a problem with that. read more

The customer service here was outstanding. Our son was scared in The Other Side so I took him out after a few minutes. The staff allowed us to play The Tomb instead which wasn't scary. They were very accommodating. I'm only giving 4 stars because, while the game was fun, it seemed fairly easy compared to others I've played. We only used 1 clue and finished quickly. I was also disappointed that the room did not have a separate exit. When we finished we just received a "Yay! You did it!" type message and then exited the same way we went in. Every other escape room I've played has had a separate locked exit for you to unlock and "escape". If you've never played before, then this place is great. If you're a seasoned escape gamer, you may be a bit disappointed. read more
