After having our new floors installed though, I decided I wanted a new color altogether (and in a hurry) so I sent out a project request through Yelp. And lucky for us, Devin responded! From the start, Devin worked tirelessly to find a solution for the conflict between my vision and my bank account! He was incredibly patient with me and all my tweaks to the original request. It took me longer than I expected to make a decision, but he was still able to get me on the schedule the same week and for a great price! The first day, Devin and his team came out and meticulously taped up every edge, took down the blinds/curtains/TV's and covered the floors and cabinets. They painted the walls in all of our communal spaces over the next few days and we even had them repair the wall that was recently damaged by a different company. Throughout the entire process, he kept me posted on progress and checked to make sure that we stayed on the same page with placement. When they were done painting, they took so much care to make sure there was not a drip of paint out of place or any evidence that they were ever there at all. With all the time and care they put into this project, we could really tell how much pride they have in what they do. They were: a doorway that had pet damage and had been pulled up, and my upstairs catwalk hallway that needed some carpet bulges stretched out. Jairo was easy to get in touch with and arrived early for the repairs. He showed a lot of care in his work and he made sure I was satisfied with the repair before packing up for the day. Both carpet repaired areas look brand new now and match my other carpet areas again. I had put off getting this fix for years because I was worried about price but these fixes definitely had higher than expected value. I no longer have to step over carpet bulges and my door shuts better. I texted him in September as I had several things lined up that needed installed and repaired. It was a few days before he responded but he did and explained that he had been working on a big project. He came out on 9/20 to do the work. One of the projects was to remove a light fixture and install two mini pendant lights. These are two separate fixtures with chain links from the ceiling to the actual light encasing. This was the last project of the day and he did a great job of changing out my old light to this updated look. With one exception. He called me in to look at them and I noticed one was hanging shorter than the other. When I mentioned it he said "No, it's correct." I didn't want to be rude and go get a tape measure to ensure that it was correct (I will in the future). After he left I measured and it was 1/4" shorter. To some this might not seem like much but it is noticeable. When he was leaving he commented that my house could use quite a bit of work (he was tactful) and I agreed. I could tell he was soft selling me for future larger projects. That was fine as I would like to hire a small business to do the work when I'm ready. We discussed a few more projects for his next visit and he left. Fast forward to 10/19. I sent a text that the needed to fix the light and why. He responded and asked if the light fell. I reiterated that the light on the right was shorter. It's now 11/14. I have yet to hear back from him. I'm in sales, if I did something incorrectly I own it and do the best I can to fix the problem. Especially if I want future work and bigger projects. When you fail to even respond it is highly unprofessional. I will have to pay a different handyman to fix the issue now.

After I talked to the others, I went with Diego. He had good reviews and has Yelps guarantee. From the time I spoke with Diego, he had one of his installers at my house in an hour. The installer was professional and had my fixtures installed in about 2-1/2 hrs. Pricing was good. The installer had to go to Home Depot and get some water lines.
