After looking at both, I just felt the quality of the corporate Tuff Shed shed was better than the Depot Tuff Shed. I needed to customize the building configuration and Jeff (who was awesome) at the Fenton location was able to give me a 8x10 shed with the gable over the 10 foot wall instead of the regular build where the gable is over the 8 foot wall. The only issue in the design was that I wanted a 4 foot porch coming out from the 10 foot wall and that seemed to be difficult to price and design with the shed building I wanted. I decided to build the porch on after the shed went up - which I did and it looks great. I prepared the gravel pad and the guys came within 2 weeks to build the shed. It went up quickly. The only issue was that it was the first day for one of the workers and I don't know how experienced as a builder he was. His drip edge installation was a bit questionable, but then so was mine. The guys were quick, efficient, listened well to my issue that I was going to add on a porch to the front, cleaned up perfectly and were as polite as can be. What I like about the shed is that it's watertight, built on metal joists and solid as a rock. The windows and door (we got a Dutch door) are easy to work and look great. The interior has a silver reflective finish and really does keep the inside cooler than you would expect, What gives me pause on the shed is the building is put together with round head nails which miss the 2x4s in many areas. Also, should you need to pull off any trim, which is installed with the same nails, the holes left are huge. Some of the interior framing isn't straight - like around the vent and that gives the inside a kind of "slapped together" look. However, overall I have absolutely no complaints. The exterior paint I used covered the exterior nails well. I didn't get it pre-painted as a cost savings and also it gave me more flexibility with the color. With the porch added (which was a chore believe me) it looks just like my wife wanted it to look. The best part of adding on to this shed is that the siding and trim is available at Menards. It makes everything easier when it all looks the same. Jeff is awesome and the Tuff Shed is as well. Is it perfect? No. But it's better than any shed on the market I've seen. The best part is that you can customize it to your needs, which you usually can't do with the sheds you'll see by the side of the road. I wish you well on your shed venture.
