About as close as I got to eating there!

Stood out side, along with 5 or 6 other people, waiting for them to open for nearly 15 minutes, then just left, obviously don't need or want by business, and I don't need or want their rudeness.

I have been coming here for years since I grew up pretty close by. The hamburgers are the best around. It's such a local dive and I love that. And when they are packed they are packed. Sometimes hard to get a seat. I recommend calling your food in ahead of time and crossing your fingers for a table! But totally worth it. Also the most delicious cherry lemon sundrops!!

Our State magazine featured the Shake Shop on its cover about NC's hole-in-the-wall restaurants. That drew us to this longtime Cherryville drive-in. What did we think? My wife now ranks the Lottaburger among her favorites anywhere. She puts salt on everything and said the Shake Shop lottaburger needed no salt. My regular cheeseburger was cooked perfectly, delicious and not too big or too small. The onion rings had flavor, crunch and no dripping grease! And the handmade cherry lemon Sundrop was a nice addition. Clean inside but little seating; full by 11:30 on a Saturday. Call ahead to be sure hours correct. The Facebook page has different hours. Oh, and bring cash. No cards. We'll visit again!

I love the Lottaburger and they have the best grilled cheese! But the wait is killer. They also have odd lines. But it's worth it.

Signature food: Lotta Burger w/ everything on it and fries. Drink is a Pink Lady. It's a SunDrop soda w/ cherries. Must try!!!

Carry out only sense the Covid nightmare. It's over priced for the cheeseburger and fries joint. Then eat in your car.

Great food and friendly service. I'd give it five stars, but the building itself has a lot of deferred maintenance.

The best cheese burger ever. I'm addicted. I have to have one at least once a week. The grill is the secret to the great flavor.

Great food and very nice people! Very homey and reminds me of past days in my youth. The only thing missing was outside tables/chairs.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food was very disappointing. I ordered burger steak with slaw, mashed potatoes, and gravy, while my sons ordered hamburgers. The meat in both meals felt extremely crumbly, almost as if it contained a large amount of breadcrumbs and very little actual meat. The flavor was far from what you would expect from quality beef and honestly tasted like everything except real meat. The mashed potatoes and gravy were average at best, and even the coffee tasted extremely weak, almost like flavored water. The only item I genuinely liked was the coleslaw. The wait staff were polite and genuinely tried to make the experience pleasant, which I appreciate. However, people primarily visit restaurants for the food, and sadly that was the weakest part of the experience at Small Town Kitchen in Cherryville. On a scale from 0-10, where 10 is excellent, I would honestly give the experience a 1, mainly because the coleslaw was decent. I hope the restaurant improves the quality of its meat and overall food preparation because the location itself has potential.

Never ever considered stopping for food here because getting through the city on 74 is tough enough as time seems to stand still here because no one, and I mean no one is moving quickly here. As the current situation is Shelby is now the half way point from my our home to where my daughter and grandson moved 1 1/2 hours away. Tuesday night we made the trek to pick up the grand for a sleep over, meeting half way at The Creekside Clock for dinner. In the entry way there is a sign stating that food is made to order so please be patient. OK. We got plenty of patience. Walk up to the counter and place your order, HUH??? Can I take a look at a menu? Sure, put on your glasses and read from the menu board. Sorry! I wasn't prepared for that. Menu looks great. There is a lot of variety and daily specials. We placed 3 separate orders, probably the first mistake as we were all sitting together, just not paying together. I am not a fan of paying before you get your food. Tip? What am I tipping? We sit with our little numbers on sticks at our table and a waitress comes to review our tickets and bring our drinks. So far so good. Ok now we wait. I can see the kitchen window and there are 6 heads in view and they appear to be super busy prepping and getting out the food. Apparently that wasn't the case. First order arrives, baked potato and chicken sandwich looks yum! A side salad was also delivered. A good bit later my meatloaf and fiancé's combination seafood plate and the grands shrimp. All looks good, alas, there is nothing on my plate that is even warm. I Asked if they had a microwave they could reheat my plate, it was that cold. Found out also that the chick sandwich and potato that was delivered first was not warm either. Still waiting on a steak and steak tips at this point everyone else was pretty much done with their food. The steak was good, again the potato cold. I am really shocked by all of the good Google reviews for this place. Although the menu looks nice. For them to boast that food is made to order, and not even serve the food warm along with the horrible execution, this was a one and done for us!
