My experience with the Shade Store was nothing short of excellent. The design team was so professional and developed a host of potential, all that looked great. The hard choice was to pick one, which I did drawing upon their patience. The installation team was very skilled and meticulous. Unfortunately, the design option I selected did not work out seamlessly. The Shade Store remade a portion of the order cheerfully, reinstalled it. Job well done! Six months later, one shade roller was making noise. Service responded as fast with the same grace as when the company was trying to win me over as a customer. When a company you deal with runs faster to take care of a problem than getting your business, is a company you want. The Shade Store is that company. Thank you, KC read more

I've ordered some window treatments several months ago. After I made the order, there was approximately two months later when they told me that the order was discontinued. I went back and re- new order which I waited another two months to get when I finally came in the Draper was too long so they sent it back out to get re-cut. It just came back again and now it is still dragging on the floor. This has been going on for several months the services really horrible. No one calls you back. No one cares. read more

The customer service at this location was terrible. The sales person-Angela could care less about being bothered with me and my husband. She gave us very basic answers, threw 2 swatches and her business card and walked away like we didn't exist. She didn't ask us any details about our home to help us make a better decision. And if she would've stuck around for maybe another minute And acted like she cared I could've made an appointment with someone to come and measure. I was never given that chance she just left. Unbelievable I have never experienced such crappy customer service anywhere. FYI shade store in Roslyn, just because I only wanted shades for three windows at the time - if you would've stuck around you would've found out that I was looking for shaded for the entire house. Do yourself a favor skip the store in Roslyn. Go to the store on old country Road in Garden City. I went there they took care of me the sweetest, nicest, warmest , most welcoming sales people you'll ever meet. And they're the ones that got my business. read more

The service is top notch. The design consultants walked me through multiple options drapes that work around a corner. The suggestions they provided were not hard sold, and all of them helped guide to decisions. I am exceedingly happy with the aesthetic, quality, and the installation experience (both measurement and the actual installation) was exceptional and professional (and fast). One of the better design choices I've ever made. read more

The Shade Store - Shades & Blinds Near Me - Roslyn, New York

Very helpful rep Angela looked at my pictures, gave me good suggestions for two separate rooms and treatments, helped to select samples to take home. After that and also doing some computer checking to see simulatiions, placed an order. This was much easier than in the old days. One of their people will come to do precise measurements before order is processed. Good experience. Now let's see how the products are. read more

Excellent ! I worked with Erica at the Roslyn Shade Store, and she provided expert product knowledge as well as insight and consideration of all elements of my windows so I selected the perfect window treatment. Erica didn't simply ask if the windows are east or west facing. She asked me to consider the way the shades would hang and explained the differing features and availability of different fabrics. Erica considered the visual impact of the space between the individual shades along the line of windows, as well as the ability for multiple shades to protect the room from the afternoon sun as it hit the NW angle, while helping me design the best layout for the 5 in line windows. In addition to skilled staff, The Shade Store shop is perfectly set up to allow you to see the products. The ability to go to a shop and see how the product looks, what the light does with the fabric, how the fabric looks when covering a window vs. a small sample, and how the hardware sits when installed made the buying process so much less stressful. I left the shop confident that the shades and fabric I selected were the right selection for my windows. The shades arrived at my home on time and undamaged. The installers showed up on time and perfectly installed the shades which were cut to the proper size and in the right fabric. I got the motorized shades and I highly recommend that feature ! The timer option is fantastic - I set the shades to come down as the afternoon sun hits the window. It works without fail and saves me having to set a reminder to make sure I pull down the shades in the afternoon or before I leave the house in the morning. So, yes 5 stars ! Highly recommend ! read more

Came here with my 2 kids looking to buy blinds for our new home since I saw so many positive reviews. The woman who greeted us was very condescending- she stated that the store is by appointment only because of COVID (which was not stated anywhere online, so came as a surprise to us) but it was understandable. The way she went about it just rubbed me the wrong way. She wasn't welcoming and apologetic. She basically kicked us out. I got a very bad feeling from this woman, so unfortunately I won't be doing business with them. It's a shame for them too because our new house is 5 floors filled with floor to ceiling custom windows. They lost out on a lot of money from us. I'll go to a mom and pop shop in the neighborhood instead. read more

We installed wood blinds throughout our house from another company and realized they were not providing enough light blocking for the bedrooms-- totally our own fault. I came to the Shade Store not expecting to use them because I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg to put up a second set of window treatments. I had an excellent experience with Angela from start to finish. She was informative, not pushy at all, and extremely responsive. She actually went above and beyond getting my final window treatment overnighted to me so all could be installed at the same time. My window treatments are being installed this Friday and I will no doubt go back and work with Angela again on the rest of my home when I'm ready. Highly recommend. read more

I needed shades for several rooms in my home and office and chose the Shade Store over others because I assumed their service would be better. It has been five months since I ordered simple wood slat blinds for one room (5 windows). First the measuring was done improperly so the shades did not fit. Then they had to be reordered but were out of stock. Then they sent only a partial shipment. Twice they told me my order was coming and to schedule installation and both times the order never came and the installation had to be cancelled. I have requested a refund of my order and have been waiting to hear from them for almost two weeks. They are just not together and the showroom/shipping/installation departments are not coordinated. I wish I had gone with a much less expensive alternative. The promise of quality and service was not realized. Save your money. read more

We just finished a project with Shade Store, Roslyn. We worked with design consultant, Angela who was absolutely fantastic! She was professional and efficient. The measurer and installer, Vincent was also extremely professional. We love the drapes and shades we choose and thank Angela for helping us select them based on pictures of our home that we shared with her. Would love to work with the store and specifically Angela for years to come! read more

Not coming back. The salesperson, Robbie seemed like he just couldn't be bothered. He answered our questions with half hearted, perfunctory answers. Overall, he didn't show any interest in helping us, and looked like he would rather be somewhere else. Very disappointing experience. We were looking for new blinds for our entire house- three floors. They just lost our business due to their poor customer service. On the recommendation of a neighbor, we ended up going to Larry's Design Center. The sales rep there was friendly and knowledgeable- she spent time getting to know about our needs and answered all our questions. read more

I met with Beth Israel at Roslyn, NY and had a great experience. The Shade Store had a ton of options in terms of products, but more importantly, Beth was super helpful in guiding the process in terms of understanding the product, the space in the apartment, light considerations - and any number of other relevant factors I would not have known or considered. The installation work went flawlessly and Beth kept me informed of the status of the order and installation. Would use them again for sure! read more

We absolutely love the way our window treatments came out. They look great. Both the curtains and shades that we ordered were exactly what we wanted. The installation technician was really very good. Very nice, neat work. Would totally recommend him. Very happy with the whole experience from ordering to installation. Forgot to mention we worked with Angela. Next time we need window treatments, we will be asking for her. Great job. read more

We worked with Erica on selecting and then scheduling installation of window treatments after our kitchen and adjacent rooms were renovated. She was great to work with, and very helpful in guiding us in choosing the best window treatments. She also helped us when we unexpectedly had to delay installation. Installers were professional and reliable. The Shade Store made the whole process easy, and we love the end result. read more

The professionalism was only surpassed by the friendliness and genuine concern for my happiness at the Shade Store in Roslyn. Angela was thorough, accommodating and creative. Both appointments she set up, one for measurements and the other for installation, were successful in that the well groomed and dressed representatives arrived on time and they used their time efficiently. The installation team removed my old shades and carted them away and these respectful pros even wore protective covers on their shoes! My solar shades are beautiful, they work so easily (I chose continuous loop controls) and they add a simple and elegant backdrop for my living room and bedroom. This was, all in all, a truly wonderful experience and I look forward to working with Angela again in 10 years! read more

Needed to update a bedroom with fresh pinch pleat curtains. Could not have been easier. Worked with Angela at the Shade Store in Manhasset. Selected lovely white/cream fabric with black out liner. Professional measurements and installation using my existing hardware. Curtains arrived within 10 days and were installed beautifully. Outstanding job and will absolutely buy my future shades at the Shade Store. High quality, reliable and great selection. read more

The Shade Store is the place to go for quality and superior window treatments. Our entire experience, from the first visit of their beautifully appointed showroom to the easy ordering process, was beyond excellent. It was overwhelming having to figure out window treatments for a new house, but Angela (who was professional, prompt, courteous, friendly and most of all, patient) helped guide us through their myriad of options. Sure, you're going to pay a premium, but you won't be disappointed because the quality of their products and post-sale services (we had a small issue which was resolved promptly) is worth every extra penny! read more

If you want excellent, knowledgeable service and high end quality in material and shade construction go to the shade store. They will not sell you an inferior product. It took me three tries to get the correct material for my shade but the end product was done correctly and I did not have to be disappointed and complain. Erika at the Roslyn store was most helpful. Taking the free swatches home is the ideal solution to picking out the right shade of a color. They also gave me a monetary credit for my inconvenience for waiting extra time for my shade which was really for my benefit. I cannot praise them enough. Catherine G. read more

Our design consultant Erica Regueiro at the Roslyn location was superb! We needed ideas for the windows in our NYC apartment -- each room with different views and requirements. After reviewing our floor plan and listening to what our needs were, Erica provided excellent suggestions for roller shades in every room. To say Erica was patient and professional would be an understatement! She pulled many more swatches than we needed and recommended that we hold them up to the windows to gain a realistic view of the different levels of privacy/coverage they would offer. Once we selected the shades and designs we liked, Erica promptly provided us with a quote, answered our questions, and then scheduled our installation. The technician who installed our shades approximately 3 weeks later did a great job and took the time to explain how to program our motorized shades. A few days after our installation, we determined that a shorter metal cord on our kitchen roller shade would be preferable. Erica quickly arranged a service call for us, and another technician came to shorten the chain. Throughout the process, Erica consistently followed up with us to ensure that everything was being handled to our satisfaction. We now have beautiful, modern Shade Store roller shades on every window in our new home and could not be happier with the results! read more

After contacting multiple shade/blind stores I decided to go with The Shade Store. This was for an office space that had multiple windows causing extreme heat within the office. I spoke with a representative, Angela Richards, who was very helpful in picking out the correct shade to combat this issue. Angela's professionalism, attention to detail and friendliness was one of the main reasons I chose The Shade Store. It is not very often that you find a representative that really shows the level of service and genuine care of a customer and the outcome of the finalized job. I would highly recommend The Shade Store as well as Angela to help you from start to finish. read more

I purchased 3 wooden shades 9 years ago. Had problem shortly after with one of them, return and received it back repaired, soon after. No charge. Recently, 2 others developed slight problems. Phone contact was excellent, she found record efficiently, and sent Winston to us to repair problem, again no charge. I am so pleased with the attitude, responsiveness and backing of this product. I can't wait to make my next order with this company. Congrats to The Shade Store. read more
