I do find their fabric selections to be much smaller in scale at their new location even though it is extremely larger. I don't understand that. They don't have upholstery silks or faux silks and crepes which is a disappointment. I do miss the volume of selections they had at the old location. None the less, the staff is just as helpful and pleasant as they've always been. As far as prices, they are competitive with other locations. Still my go to fabric store.

I was excited to see a retail store. The shirts always have unique, happy designs. I started buying them for myself (cross, and heart appliques) and love what they offer for children. Since I'm a boy mom it's hard to find cute, little boy clothes without being to "sissy." These t's are perfect. I get my three year old one for every season (pumpkin for Halloween, Christmas, Easter etc.) They are also fun for birthday t-shirts.

The store was very busy that day, though, so I was patient to wait my turn. They also have a nice selection of ready-made draperies and rods, although I hesitate to buy anything very pricey until my kids are old enough not to spill grape juice all over them. I didn't see alot of fabric that could be used for kids' room, and I did have my eye out for some colorful gingham. All in all, though, a great store, and one I'll be visiting again.

I turned her on to Carter's a long time ago and it's still one of the best places in town to get fabric and craft needs. It opened back in 1988 and I have stopped in a couple times over the years just to look around. There are so many big round bolts of material head high and on many aisles. There is one other fabric store that might be able to compete with Carter's on pricing but I guess it comes down to the amount of variety in the designs and prints available for your needs at the time.
