Calico Corners is a longstanding fabric store in Memphis for a reason. Beautiful fabrics, pleasing colors, nice tapestries, rich textures- you'll find it all here. I needed fabric to recover some antique chairs, and I found the perfect pattern here. The salesperson was very nice, but I did have to wait a little while for someone to assist me. The store was very busy that day, though, so I was patient to wait my turn. They also have a nice selection of ready-made draperies and rods, although I hesitate to buy anything very pricey until my kids are old enough not to spill grape juice all over them. I didn't see alot of fabric that could be used for kids' room, and I did have my eye out for some colorful gingham. All in all, though, a great store, and one I'll be visiting again. read more

Love this store! Newish to Memphis and thrilled to have found this shop. Everyone in there was super helpful and their selection is amazing. Reasonable prices, and they don't carry a pattern I wouldn't proudly have in my home-- the shop looks small from the outside, but don't let that fool you! It is expertly curated. Fabrications is a beautiful fabric store! It's a little up scale but they have fabrics in every price range and they are competitive with online fabric stores. The staff is a joy. Everyone is so knowledgeable but never they never make me feel bad because I'm so unknowledgable. They put up with my off the wall ideas. When I have upholstery projects Fabrications is always my first stop and usually my last. read more

Came in around 4:40 and The store was not very busy. There were maybe 3 customers. Neither my mother or I was greeted upon entry. We both walked around the whole store and no one bothered to say anything to us. In fact, I saw 2 employees just walking around folding fabrics (were not helping anyone) who looked at me and still did not speak. I will absolutely never step foot in this store again and I wouldn't advise anyone of color to spend any money here. read more

Employee Jazz is the one to see. She is fantastic! We had some issues last week on qty and they reordered and I went by and paid them for the additional yardage. They knew and were told again that our seem tress would be picking up the fabric. An attempt to pick it up was made and told that we had not paid for it. So I called w receipt in hand and spoke to Alison the stores general manager. She looked it up again and said oh yes it is paid for and then she began to LECTURE me on how it was my responsibility to tell them who was picking it up!!! She was rude and refused to give me owners name and contact. Remind you the fabric wasn't given to the seem tress because it was short "80$". Not that it didn't have a name on it!!! She was confused, rude and I will never shop there again. I will also post this on fb and relay to my designer friends. Rude rude rude !! She said her employees don't ask who is picking up something when u leave it on the counter. She's an idiot to boot! read more

I'm on a search to find fabric for my dining room chairs so I decided to run in here during lunch as it was close to my work. A coworker had also mentioned that they had a great selection of fabric, which they did. However, the service was horrible! I waited for, hmmmm, about 45 minutes and left. No one ever asked if I needed help while I waited at the counter. I tried numerous times to get someone's attention but they were too busy chatting in meaningless conversations (not business) to notice that I needed assistance. I did give them 2 stars because they did appear to have a great selection of fabrics, offered custom services and it is a great central location. read more

lots of fabric choices, but TERRIBLE customer service! I was browsing for what seemed like forever and not one of their many employees welcomed me, asked if I needed help or anything. One employee looked at me about four times but never said a word. Another practically ran into me and said nothing. Guess I wasn't in a range rover so they had no use for my business. Rude staff, no one bothers to even say hello or ask to help when I walked in, despite it not being busy at all.
