I haven't had a single unpleasant experience. I think folks should consider their own schedules and…read moreresponsibilities before fussing over a job you cant do yourself. I've even gone in for advice on a wedding dress. No money spent, just genuine help. My uniforms were on time and all I had to do was be a polite paying customer.

I normally don't write reviews, but I would not recommend this place for Airmen needing uniform alterations done on time. I dropped off a blues long sleeve shirt and coat to have my ranks updated. I was charged $50 with dry cleaning included, and I gave the shop at least a couple weeks' notice. My mistake was giving the exact date I needed them done, because the work was barely completed the day before. I don't think I would have received a call if I hadn't called first around 11 a.m. When I showed up during the pickup window I was given, 4-5 p.m., the items still were not finished and the ranks had not even been sewn on yet. I was told to come back later. When I returned, the work was basically finished in front of me after the shop had already closed. There was no discount, compensation, or real consideration for the delay. If you need uniform alterations, especially on a deadline, I would go to: Cathy's Creations 14785 Highlight Dr. 605-484-3791 She is a small business and works out of her home, so it is best to call her first. She did 3 OCP tops, 3 blues items, and cuffed my pants for $50. Based on my experience, she was more reliable and a much better value.

THe alterations were fine, although the buckle she put on the back of the vest did not match the buttons on the front (she did not apologize, and said he wouldn't notice - he did.). I called to arrange a pick-up time, since she works out of her home, and she met me in her bathrobe. Awkward. At my husband's insistence, I brought her a silk dress he'd bought me several years ago, to have it altered to wear to his sister's wedding, which was Labor Day weekend. I brought her the dress a month in advance, and she assured me it would be ready in time, and asked for a $55 deposit. The day I was scheduled to pick it up, she called to say it was not ready, and did I have a back-up plan? (I did, thankfully.) Three weeks later, I had not heard back regarding my dress. I called her, telling her I was disappointed I hadn't heard from her, and inquiring about my dress. She said she couldn't even start on it, because she didn't have the part for her sewing machine (one might wonder, now, why did she take the job, if she didn't even have the equipment to complete it?). I told her I'd be coming by to pick up my dress, and my $55. When I came to pick up my dress, she was rude and unapologetic, and scribbled out a personal check wiht my refund. The dress was pinned in exactly the same manner I left it - two months in her shop, and she hadn't even started on it. I will never go back, and will actively discourage others from using this business. Really unfortunate, since I really believe in supporting small, local businesses.

1 star? If yelp let you rate a business with a negative star master tailor would be a -5. I…read moredropped a jacket off and she required a 40 deposit. A month later I call... jacket hasn't been TOUCHED. I go to pick up it and she only refunds me 20 stating there's a fee for "taking up her time"... WHAT TIME? The time my jacket spent collecting dust in your house? I told her I wasn't going to leave without all my money and she called the cops. Literally the WORST customer service I've ever encountered in my entire life. And apparently I'm not the only one that thinks so. I contacted the better business bureau and she has had 5 complaints in the last 3 years... and that's saying a lot considering most ppl won't even bother contacting them. In conclusion.... to miss master tailor.... I hope you learn how to run a business professionally. In the mean time, I hope you don't get any more business. No one deserves to be treated how you treated me as a paying customer. -5 STARS

We visited several stores which claimed to sell Native American products, but there was always an issue of quality, authenticity, and/or price. Then, when leaving the Black Hills, before starting the home stretch of our trip, we stopped in the Dakota Drum Company. My son's wait proved worthwhile. Sonja, the owner of the store, was very helpful in explaining the products, and we discovered, she was also the artist who painted the drums. We spent a long time in the store while my son made his selection, and Sonja was very informative, not just about the products, but about the Lakota culture and practices. When my son had decided upon the drum he wanted, Sonja explained the meanings of the painting details on the drum and provided us with additional information. He now has the drum proudly displayed in his room. It must be noted that the prices are not cheap -- but very fair given the high quality, authentic nature of the products In addition to drums, there is other art work to be found, and my wife purchased a few things. Even if you are not in the market for a Native American drum, it is worthwhile to go in the Dakota Drum Company and look around.
