Please read: After buying a ring at Kay Jewelers in Knoxville, TN at the Turkey Creek location, my husband went back the next day and ordered the wedding band to complete the wedding set. He purchased it from the same salesman and told him not to call or leave a voicemail when the ring came in. He even had the salesman write it down on the ticket not to call or leave a voicemail. We share the same phones and we were heading out west to celebrate our 20th anniversary. He was going to surprise me. After two failed attempts for the ring to come in and a few phone calls (each time telling them not to call or leave a voicemail. The same salesman called and left a detailed message FOR ME about the ring my husband had purchased. Sure enough, I got the voicemail! I can't believe he ruined such a beautiful surprise. My husband had told two different people not to call or leave a voicemail and had it written on the ticket. My husband called to tell the manager how disappointed he was that the employee had absolutely ruined the surprise. She was not apologetic at all. She just told him that she would issue a refund. We canceled the order and called the Rapid City, SD location. We were very fortunate to have Shane handle the sale. He had difficulty having it shipped in time from another location due to the time zone. Shane went above and beyond to find the ring at a different location and had it overnighted, so I could have on our trip out there and on our 20th anniversary! It is such a beautiful set, we turned around and bought a second wedding band, so it is now three tiers. Shane helped us out with that one too, and had it overnighted to our home in Knoxville. He provided absolutely excellent customer service. We spoke to the manager at the Rapid City location and made sure she knew the story and how much we appreciated Shane.

Won't be going back to this location again, that's for sure. Happened to go in with another person…read moreto look at a ring she wanted for a gift and a few employees made eye contact with us on several occasions, but never greeted us or asked us if we needed any help or would like to look at anything. At one point we started to ask for help, and got absolutely none. Thankfully, the ring was gotten at a more friendly established Kay Jewelers in a different location, and as far as my experience, for future reference for me, thank God my husband had a good staff to have help him out to pick out my beautiful ring, and thankfully he did NOT get it at the Kay Jewelers in Rapid. I know employees aren't always "happy" while on the job working retail, I know, I've been there, and spent a good amount of time doing so, but it's your job to suck it up, and put on a smile for the customers and seek to answer their questions in hopes of making a profit off of them..
