Jerry did excellent work on our computer and laptop when we lived in Rapid City two years ago. I had my Malwarebytes program through Jerry and it was due to expire in two days. I contacted him and during our discussion I lamented that I'd have to get a new computer, as I'd been told that Windows 11 couldn't be installed on my computer as it was too old. Jerry remembered my computer and said that Windows 11 absolutely could be installed on my computer. With us now living in Texas, I wasn't sure remote access would work from South Dakota. It did - it worked perfectly. Jerry always goes the extra mile to ensure everything is operating as it should be. Jerry saved us over $1,000 today since we didn't need a new computer. We were on vacation in a camper with our laptop. Fell down a rabbit hole in a phishing scam, and revealed way too much personal information. We were freaked out! What to do when so far away from home?? Called one local company and they were too busy to help us, plus we were leaving in a few days. We called Jerry. He had us come right down with the laptop, and totally saved us from ourselves!! He scanned everything, updated our antivirus program, and provided us with excellent service and enormous relief, all at a reasonable price. Highly recommend Jerry. He saved us ! My hard drive had given out and laptop was unusable. Jerry fixed me right up and in a big way and very fast. In addition to improving my computer to better than new condition he recommended and installed a Solid State hard drive that will not go bad as my original did. He recovered all my lost info and data in addition amongst a few other things. His insight on the computer technology, the work he did for me and what he shared with me on top of it all out of the kindness of his heart can't be more appreciated! Jerry is wonderful, he goes over & beyond. Absolutely love my new desktop he got for me. He also fixed my laptop (we took a fall on some ice) He was able to save it! I'm not very computer savvy it's very nice to have someone that knows what they're talking about. Jerry's computer repair saved the day. My husband got attacked by Malware and was desperate for help. A friend of ours recommended Jerry's Computer Repair. We called him, and within 24 hours we had a working, fixed computer back. Even though we live out of the service area, we met in a mutually agreed upon location and handed over our computer. Jerry is a very personable man and speaks in understandable language. His rates are reasonable and he follows up on post-computer-repair questions. He will do house calls as well. My name is Jerry Long and I'm the owner of Jerry's Mobile Computer Repair. Here's a little bit of info about me. I retired out of the Air Force in 2005 after serving 20 great years and then went to school for Computer Repair and Networking at WDT in Rapid City. I graduated with Honors. When I finished school I worked on and earned my CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ Certifications. When I finished getting my certifications I was hired by the Department of Defense as a Computer Assistant/ Network Administrator for the Force Support Squadron on Ellsworth AFB, SD. There I was responsible for Computer Support and Network administration for over 20 different shops.

I brought my iPhone to Computer Village to have the battery replaced after it dropped into the 70%…read morerange. I paid in advance, as required by their store policy, and left the phone with them overnight. The next day, I received a call from a staff member named Pete, who told me they couldn't complete the battery replacement because one of the screws was stripped. When I picked up the phone and examined it myself, I found the left screw completely stripped with visible fresh tool marks--clear signs it had been recently damaged. I immediately called the store to ask how this had happened. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they insisted the phone was already in that condition when I brought it in. That's simply not true. I purchased this phone brand new and have never had it opened or worked on before this visit. There's no way that kind of damage existed beforehand. The staff at Computer Village refused to take any responsibility for the damage they caused, leaving me with a phone they not only didn't fix, but actually made worse. I've attached a photo--you can judge for yourself. I cannot recommend this place. If you care about your device, look elsewhere

He was super nice, patient and extremely knowledgeable about EVERYTHING in the Apple "ecosphere". I worked with Brian for 2 hours and it was money well spent! He helped with with several things on my 2014 iMac & new MacBook Air & my iPhone 16e !!! He took the time to explain everything clearly. The rate for one-on-one tech support in Northern California is $115.00 - $150.00 per hour ! Computer Village charges only $75.00 per hour ! I plan on coming back for more "training" and I will definitely be purchasing my new iMac desktop here. Highly recommended !

We recently moved to Rapid City and couldn't get our computer and printer to work properly with our internet, We called Jerry, he was very prompt with returning our call. Came right over, analyzed the issues and fixed our existing computer. This was an older system, when asked if he could recommend something more secure and faster Jerry. He told me what he used, this sounded exactly what we wanted. Jerry ordered it for us, set it up and transferred all our data. Jerry is very knowledgeable in computers and computer security. My external hard drive crashed on a Saturday and I needed the info on it ASAP. My regular IT guy was out of town and off grid. I found Jerry and he came through for me!
