It should have only been 2 sessions but I had to go in for a quick one once I got my boob tape to make sure that would work. Until now. This is exactly what I have been looking for, and I'm so glad I found a spot for all future needs. I needed a pair of jeans patched (big split rip & hole in the butt area and patches on the jeans coming unglued). I brought them in and went over the pair with the tailor & she said she could fix it for me & they would be ready in a week. Went to pick them up today & I was blown away. Couldn't even really recognize how torn they were on both sides of the main seam and they stitched and glued the patch back. All for only $30! The shop is small but that's what you want. A spot dedicated to just alterations sticking to what they are good at. Knowing they could handle the jeans, I know they will be great with any alterations I may need (dresses, etc.), and I can update when I do. The two women are super friendly and very good at their work! So glad I found my spot, and will definitely be sharing with any friends & family in the area. Support local!

Then we both moved out to Arizona, which part of adjusting included needing a tailor (her moreso than me). I needed tailoring this summer for a black-tie formal bridesmaid dress and my immediate thought was to go to Kim's, despite the fairly long drive 1-way from Tempe. Due to the drive, I called ahead to confirm they were open (it was a random Friday afternoon). The gals running the shop are super nice and do great work! I needed ~3inches taken up on the dress for 3 layers which ended up being way more expensive than I thought, but Kim told me it's due to the layers. Fair enough. She quoted 2 weeks turnaround and it was indeed ready at the day quoted. I think if you don't give them a hard deadline, it may take longer than you think. So if there is a specific event/date you need something, make it abundantly clear.

I had a dress I needed for a wedding and I was going out of town, that I had to leave without. Normally, I would call to make sure everything is ready, but like I said the phone is disconnected. WORST, service ever. The only reason i went back so many times is because they do decent work, if you can ever get your clothes back!!!! Not trustworthy.

I never got a text or call on Tuesday or Wednesday. I was close by on Wednesday and stopped by to see if it was ready and they said it still wasn't ready yet but would text when it was. I sent a text on Thursday to see if it was ready yet and they said it still wasn't ready. I didn't get my items until the following week on Wednesday, long after I needed them and was told they would be done. Many other places can do hemming while you wait or same day service. If I had known it was going to take that long here, I would've just taken them some place else. I had to run to Target Thursday night to find some pants to wear instead. They should be more honest about how long it will take to do something so people can go somewhere else. Also an update: after I wore the dress one time and washed it, however they shortened the straps came undone... so I had to bring them back again to get them fixed. I would go anywhere else!

I brought my bridesmaid dress to just have a basic hem done before the wedding. The lining was cut too short so it didn't match the bottom of the dress, and even worse the lining was uneven on both sides. A very noticeable error with the slit on the dress. Worse than that, the dress had noticeable marks that weren't there before, one of which looked like a burn mark from pressing which I can only assume, since the lady said she tried to press it but stopped since they don't have the proper equipment like a regular alteration's store. It came back to me a wrinkled mess with marks on it, and a botched hem. I put my trust in Collette to do a professional job for this special event, and it was horrible having a ruined dress on my best friend's special day, that everyone pointed out and the flaws all showed up in pictures as well. I've reached out twice to Collette's only to have no response to make anything right. Save yourself the time and money, and go to a more professional alterations company who can show the proper workmanship and respect for your property.

All those were put in the bag for Goodwill. What a waste of money. She had also told me they'd be ready in 2 weeks. It was 5 weeks and when I went in to get them, they couldn't even find them. They had me look through the clothes racks and find my tops and Komono. I went to them twice a few years back and thi gs went great. I think its time the elderly lady gives it up.
