The Seiner's Arms is a large, fairly typical "beach pub" in Perranporth, right next to the extended main sands, and an obvious alternative to the more touristy, sand-swept "The Waterhole" on the opposing side of the beach. It offers drinks around the clock and pub grub during certain time shifts. The outside seating is also fairly extensive and has a plain, beach bar character. If you decide to eat there, always be on guard for the ever-present, predictably merciless gulls. Should you leave your table they will rip it clean in no time at all.
The beer selection is adequate, and of course the bar serves every other kind of booze, too. Don't be surprised to find mainly older locals along the bar at any given hour of the day. Staff are very down to earth, which I appreciate.
It may not be the most stylish of places, but other than The Waterhole it's the only option directly adjacent to the beach. A few minute walk from there you will also find a Spoon, but that one doesn't offer a view onto the popular beach. read more
