Most importantly, this is all made possible by his incredible teachers - Teacher Atziri, Teacher Taylor, Teacher Luz and everyone else that helps throughout the day. They could not be more caring, loving and patient with the kids. It's clear to us that these people love their jobs and are so incredibly thankful that we get to benefit from their passion.

Our family has appreciated the excellent care our kids have received for nearly nine years. The teachers are warm and caring, and develop strong relationships with the children. Kristy, who has been running ECC for many years as the director, is responsive, attentive and a pleasure to work with. ECC teachers enjoy the work they do, and plan engaging and enriching activities. They do lots of age appropriate activities every day: arts and crafts, singing, reading stories, outside/inside free play, walks, circle time where they focus on letter and number recognition and for the older preschool classes Spanish Circle. There's a good mix of activities and my kids have had fun while developing skills that prepare them well for the transition to kindergarten. I'd highly recommend ECC to any parents looking for daycare or preschool for their kids. They do a fantastic job and create a warm, welcoming and caring environment for the kids and parents alike.

We told the director at the time what our situation was and she was ok with it. But soon after they complained every day about my kid just because she didn't like coming in from playing outside. My kid needed a little more prompting when it came to transitions. My kid also had some therapists to come in and work with them. My kid was also not there all day because my kid went to a public preschool in the morning and got dropped off for lunch and the rest of the day at Temple Beth. Teacher Robin absolutely had no patience for my child and she had no poker face about it. After a couple months the director gave me an ultimatum and said if I want my kid to continue at Temple Beth, then someone needs to be with my kid during daycare hours. So what's the point of me paying for this school? Fyi this happened in 2015-2016. I heard that teacher Robin is the Director now and I don't know how that lady got that position. I am so disappointed with this place. I finally got a call back from another preschool/daycare just in time with that ultimatum and left Temple Beth. The other preschool I took my kid to was understanding of my situation and worked with my kids therapists to help them have a successful day. After that, my kid thrived and everything got better.

The teachers here are kind, patients, smart, and deeply dedicated to the children they are caring for. Choosing a pre school for our smallest children is such a difficult decision and I am so grateful we chose this one. My child has been able to learn so much from all the wonderful lessons, teachers and cultural diversity. They are an inclusive, communicative, professional and child centered community, we love TBI!

The transition ended up being a lot smoother than I expected. He settled in really quickly, knows all of his teachers by name, and actually enjoys going to school every day. The teachers have been very patient, supportive, and involved with the kids. I also like that the classrooms are well staffed because the kids seem to get a lot of attention and support throughout the day. One thing I really appreciate is the communication with parents. They do a great job keeping families updated and they also have a lot of family activities and events at the school, which has been really nice. I've honestly been surprised by how much my son has learned already. It's been really nice seeing his confidence grow. The schedule has also worked really well for our family and made things easier with my work schedule too. Overall, I'm really happy we decided to go with Montessori instead of continuing with PUSD Head Start. So far it's been a great fit for our family.

I can feel how much the teachers care about the students and their development which is really important to me. My favorite activity so far was when they had a band play songs for the kids during Thanksgiving bcuz my son loves music and watching them have the time of their lives dancing was one of my favorite moments. We plan to enroll his little brother in the fall so I can wait to see how he'll grow as well. Highly recommend this school. The staff is amazing!

It is magical, beautiful and a super special…read moreplace for littles (and their families, too). ***Please don't be alarmed by all the old reviews from 5 plus years ago. I've heard that LVPPP was indeed a very different school back then! Totally different leadership and teachers.*** First off, a little background on me- I have a degree in childhood development and early education, but first and foremost, I am a parent. And I want to be as involved and connected with my child's life as much as possible. I also fully understand that every child and every family's needs are different. So for us, LVPPP was an ideal fit and we are so happy with our decision to send our daughter there. This preschool fulfills all my wants and prayers for my child's first school experiences outside of our home. Some main highlights: 1. Teachers who are loving, nurturing and care about every single child's life and sees them as whole individuals and unique. My daughter absolutely LOVES her teacher and that's saying a lot for a child who is extremely attached to her mother and has separation anxiety. LVPPP teachers help prepare children and their parents for the transition being "away" from their families for a few hours at a time. They are so patient, so empathetic and really take the time to honor each child's feelings and individuality while modeling cooperation, co-regulation and communication. It is a very warm and home-like environment. 2. Community of caregivers, parents, families who all are working together for the school and the children. LVPPP is a co-op school and is part of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools, which is a network of organized co-ops focused on the principle that the best education will result from an active partnership among parents, teachers, and children. Being a volunteer in my child's classroom 2-3 times a month really has allowed me to get to know the people who actually see my child- I know the teachers very well and also know every single parent and child closely, much like extended family. We have playdates and help watch each others children outside of school as a result, and this has been invaluable benefit being part of this school- where lifelong relationships are fostered. 3. Child-directed, PLAY and inquiry based learning philosophy. PLAY is the work of the child. LVPPP is Reggio Emilia inspired and we love that. It follows my child's natural curiosity and focused on the process versus end product in learning and development. LVPPP's director is extremely knowledgeable and passionate in this area and empowers both students and families to be active agents in their environment. The environment is set up to invite play and exploration. Children engage in messy play, engage all their senses, challenge their fine and gross motor skills, and really tinker and experiment in open-ended play. There's also a big emphasis on social emotional development and regulation. The campus itself is beautiful and every detail has been well thought out to provoke exploration, discussion and creativity. 4. It's a non-profit that's trying to serve the community, providing high quality early childhood education to families in the area. It strives to be very accessible, diverse, inclusive and welcoming to all. All backgrounds are celebrated and family structures. I appreciate the fact that the tuition is quite reasonable and allows families from various levels of means still be able to access a preschool with the bells and whistles you may find at higher end preschools, but it's due to the joint effort of hard work that the families and teachers have contributed from their own time, effort and dedication to make the school what it is. 5. Health and safety is taken seriously especially during this COVID era. The director and leadership stay atop local health authority recommendations and goes above based on the input of the families and what they're comfortable with. We have been very happy with the pragmatic approach that LVPPP takes in trying to ensure the students stay healthy but also understanding that nothing is perfectly avoidable.

I wholeheartedly recommend this preschool -- it's the best one I've ever encountered. If your little one is getting ready to start school, make sure to have a chat with Miss Angela.
