They weren't willing to ask a vet tech a question or help in any way shape or form. Absolutely not the type of Response you would expect from a professional veterinary hospital. I know five people in the area that bring their dogs to this facility so they suggested I come here as well... I have since spoken to those five people and explained to them exactly what happened and they will now be removing their pets from this facility and going somewhere else that actually cares about the animals. What a shame.

She should NEVER work…read morewith people, let alone animals.........We called with an emergency that our cat could not use his hind legs. She told us "don't even think about bringing him in before 8AM". She failed to direct us to any emergency services, as well When we arrived for our scheduled 8AM appt, she knew of the situation and looked right at me, but instead answered a phone instead of assisting me... she was cold & uncompassionate, & disinterested in my cat's suffering. She attempted to argue with me,instead of putting her focus on the care + compassion of my animal and he died horribly, because of this. Doctor Lewis & Dr Andy have been wonderful in my experiences with them, but I will no longer entrust any of my beloved pets in Rosebird Vet's care, because they only hire receptionists with cold, broken & cruel hearts. The receptionists (seemingly all of them, because the one in question was the only one who addressed me that day, despite there being three on site that day!) & many (but not all) of the vet techs will throw you (and your babies) in and out of there, as if it was fast food service. If you are local, I recommend Nittany Valley Animal Center, for the care & respect that your pets deserve. The care & respect your animals deserve will NOT be found at the reception desk of Rosebird Veterinary Center...

So much so that my husband and I have made the decision to switch to them for established/routine care. Almost a year ago, they helped us with our puppy, Vito. Our regular vet wasn't available, RoseBird got us in and got him fully recovered quickly. Then again more recently, Dr Lewis saw us through a difficult lymphoma diagnosis. He helped us follow through with keeping our boy Chase comfortable with a decent amount of a quality of life before ultimately assisting him to the rainbow bridge. It amazed me that Dr Lewis was able to remember details about Chase after only a couple of visits without referring to a chart in front of us with as many animals that cross that threshold in a day. And as an added bonus the office is easily accessible and close to home!

If you google it, an EKG for a dog should be no more than $65, and I have never even seen a cash pay price for a HUMAN EKG as high as $200 (I work in healthcare). I am so upset by how overpriced this is that we are immediately transferring our dog elsewhere - I called and complained to them about the bill and I will tell anyone I know with a dog to not go here, and instead to shop around for a more reasonably priced vet- seriously absurd pricing has lost my trust in them as a business. Will not be using them for any further workup of the dog, however! Just because the vet is nice that's no reason to upcharge by 300% for a fairly basic service. Jeeze! BEWARE.

With a very sick dog diagnosed with CHF you would think that they would want to follow up with him and check in to see how he's doing. My other dog who had surgery they apparently did not think was necessary to see him after his surgery even though I called in with concerns of a non-healing wound. I was given an antibiotic without any proof that there was an infection going on. I work in the medical field. I know what infection looks like. But if you're in the area and have a dog in need of a groom this place is worth the hunt. The entry room is a part of the deceiving nature. My wife almost turned around and took our dog home when she walked in. Signage is hand written on cardboard and stuck to the walls. There's a faint smell of smoke and no one manning the desk. The groomer came out from the back room and asked a series of questions about the cut we wanted for our dog. She was very knowledgeable, courteous and, as we would find out later, also very talented. My wife reluctantly left our pup to the groomer and came back a few hours later. When she brought her home we were both so impressed and our dog was never cuter. When I took our pup back for a second cut I saw exactly what my wife meant. This second cut was absolutely perfect. We've taken our dog to a number of groomers in the area and none of them have left us so impressed. The price is the final selling point. We've spent about 75 to 100 dollars on grooming at other establishments. They charged us $40 for each cut and I was informed that prices would go up $5 on our next trip. Even at $45 that's a HUGE savings over most places. Great price and great quality!
