My son, however, felt differently. So, we sought our school counselor's guidance. She was nice, but she has way too many kids to deal with, even for a private school. We really needed someone who could give us more one-on-one help with course selection and planning a solid academic track. College Zoom's gap analysis was amazing--it really went above and beyond what we expected. It uniquely analyzed my son's high school, its course offerings, and mapped out exactly how possible combination of advanced coursework, from 9th to 12th grade, would result in him being competitive--or not--at the colleges that are important for us. My son and I are now aligned and in agreement with his direction. Going into it, I didn't know what to expect because I had never worked with an independent college consultant before. I had just heard from others that it's a very transactional experience. That wasn't the case at all with College Zoom. What stood out the most was how much care was genuinely provided to our situation.
