We smelled every single candle and had the most difficult time choosing just one. They have a variety of home decor items, some local honey and snacks, and plenty of "cottage core" knitted pictures. I found a key-shaped key holder that I knew would be perfect for my home. The woman working was super friendly and social while we shopped. I also appreciate that you can see into the back of the store where they're actively pouring candles. They have options for custom labels on candles for weddings, baby showers, birthdays, etc. and a few samples by the register to check out. Plenty of parking is available out front. I thought the prices were fair for the quality of the merchandise. I paid $11 for my heavy duty key holder and it's well worth it.

Granted, I don't know enough about yarn to evaluate this store based on its selection, but I'll…read moretell you what I do know: I've been in quite a few yarn stores, some small, some big, and I've had my share of experiences. Some yarn stores feel like private clubs, where staff subtly let me know that by browsing their wares I'm interrupting their knitting projects. Some yarn stores only have the most expensive, exclusive yarns available. Yarns Unlimited isn't either. For one, I received tremendously good advice on picking out yarn for a scarf, and the salesperson even advised me away from some of their more expensive yarns, suggesting that they weren't appropriate for what I wanted. Also, while I was there, a customer came in for some help with a project, and the assistance was provided free of charge. Yarns Unlimited strikes me as exactly the kind of place that builds business through loyalty, and if I lived in the area I'd go back there often. As it was, I made a sizable purchase.

(I've been knitting for decades. And I never knew there are 9 inch circular needles. . . )

They seem to feature several local businesses within the shop, which is so nice to see. I bought a pair of earrings from a local artist that were made from dried flowers coated in a clear resin. My friend purchased several items as gifts for her sister's wedding shower. We thought the prices were more than fair for almost everything we saw in the store.
