Well done…read more I am happy to say that, although I liked this place when it was it was take-away only, I rather love it now that we're allowed to come in and stay awhile. The interior is cozy and quaint; it doesn't hold an enormous amount of people, but I've never seen it completely full, either, so chances are you'd be able to snag a seat here, no problem. They also have a few tables and chairs outside, if that's your preference. During the lockdown, I fell in love with their toasties, (the avocado and halloumi toastie is amazeballs), but now that their full menu is back on, I had to rave some more about the sheer deliciousness of it all. While a bit more expensive than the smaller toasties, some of their more decadent options are definitely worth the price. My top 2 (thus far), are the Capuchin and Grivet. The Capuchin is a hefty portion of sweet potato hash topped with a perfectly-balanced mix of chorizo, seedless jalapeños, pomegranate seeds, a poached egg, and a side of sweet chili chutney. It may sound weird, but trust me it works. Crispy, sweet, salty, spicy... a symphony of flavors in your mouth. The Grivet is a smaller- yet no less filling- dish in the form of a breakfast sandwich filled with a generous serving of thick-cut bacon, poached egg, sweet chili chutney, finished with a slathering of creamy avocado, all wedged in between a soft brioche bun. It's a breakfast of champions, any time of the day. The rest of their menu still includes the old favorites, like pancakes & waffles, smoothies & cold-pressed juices, full breakfast plates, toasties, and of course, coffee & tea. And really, the service couldn't be better. It's the perfect neighborhood joint.

Inside instead the story was totally different and it seemed to us as if we had gone thorough a secret door to a buzzing, warm and cosy coffee hive full of people enjoying their weekend breakfast. The staff are quite friendly and welcoming but most of all the coffee is super smooth and pleasant. My daughter enjoyed a babyccino, a strawberry juice and a slice of lemon cake - which, by the way, she ate all even if we were just coming back from a birthday party. This is a place where I'll now go back to every time we'll be around Tooting!

Is that a McDonald's? Or...a nightclub? Or...a children's gym? It's unclear, but this renovation has totally undone my hardwiring for walking down memory lane. The lighting is great in here, there is a modern "cafe-style" decor and cool seating, and two posters (art installations? Playful information?) pronounced "balance" and "organic" in caps. They do cheap toast with the usual things like marmite or jam and the usual coffees and teas. When I was in there I saw lots of workmen getting full English breakfasts, I guess that's an endorsement. They have two different "buffet" selections for lunch. One is a range of salads that I would say is noticably better than average for this kind of thing. The other, a selection of hot food like pasta, curry, Mexican things, chips - this all tastes fine to me, nothing to write home about, nothing to complain about. I think it costs about £7 for a box big enough for most people.

The place was full, all tables were taken, which right away, was a good sign. We were seated fairly quickly as someone happened to be leaving. The menu offered a full English breakfast in three sizes--big, bigger and biggest. My friend and I both ordered "biggest," which consisted of two eggs, toast, two sausages, bacon, baked beans, tomatoes, a hash brown and a free tea or coffee. it seemed a little average-sized considering it was the "Biggest" option, but it was good and filling nonetheless. The place seemed to be popular, there were even groups of police officers and road workers, a sign that it was a local favorite. The price was the best part, 5 pound including the free coffee/tea.

The only downside for me was that it was packed with Mommies and their screaming kids...but I just plugged in my earphones and tuned out the whining noises. The place is also family friendly with a change table across the toilet and toys around the eating area. On my first visit, I had one of the best hot chocolate I've ever had. The eggs benedict was a decent portion size and satisfying on a cold winter day. The previous stall was starting to look a little shappy, but the new one is a great improvement. As it's one of our favorite local pubs (the beer selection is awesome), we often see it here. Now, living in Enfield, I'm a bit dubious of most eateries, so it took me awhile to give The Beautiful Burger Company a try. I'm kind of annoyed I waited so long. The burgers were really tasty. They were juicy and not overcooked. The bun is slightly firm and holds up well to the burger. They'll put grilled onions on the burgers if you ask, and their tomato relish really adds a lot to the burger. There's not a huge selection of burgers. They do 4 oz. beef, lamb or chicken burgers. To these you can pay extra for cheese and/or bacon. There's also a veggie option and a gluten-free burger. There's only one side available: rosemary potato wedges, but definitely give them a try, they're really tasty. They also do wraps and rolls if you're not quite as hungry. It's nice to have a surprisingly delicious burger place near home!
