The samosas at The Samosarie are a bit different from traditional Indian samosas - they're unique in that they're smaller, colourful (very pretty to look at and photogenic!), and contain interesting and unique fillings. Apparently they don't use artificial colouring, so all the bright colours are natural food colouring (using beets, spinach, charcoal, and various other vegetables and fruits).
I like that they have handouts containing a 'menu' or map of what each of the different coloured samosa's fillings are, with differentiation on which ones are vegetarian and which ones contain dairy.
The service at this food court stall was great - very friendly and helpful staff (we ordered 2 large boxes with all the different varieties).
These samosas are great to bring to a potluck, party, picnic, or any gathering - bite-size and people are always curious to know what each of the different coloured varieties contain. They're also good for a quick snack or appetizer if you're on the go. They also cater to various different diet needs and allergies: halal, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, soy-free, peanut-free, treenut-free, egg-free, etc.
Taste-wise, they're the best samosas I've tried in a non-traditional way - gourmet fillings that taste clean and shells that are non-oily, non-greasy, and yet somehow able to stay crispy even hours after made or served. read more
