I absolutely love Habitat for Humanity Restore. Whether you are looking to furnish your place or…read morewanting to discover a new piece of furniture to repurpose, Restore is the place for you. The staff is friendly, prompt, and seem to really enjoy what they do. The customer walks through sliding glass doors and sees an array of sorted furniture from chairs to coffee tables to couches & dressers. You will also find books, kitchenware, home restoration tools, new paints and various furnishings to bring your home or organization back to life. When the customer finds piece of furniture they like, simply bring the tag attached to the piece to the front counter for a quick & easy checkout experience. The friendly worker will give you two copies of the hols slip: one to place on the piece of furniture and the other to take with you to the pick up area. To get to the pick up area, drive your vehicle around to the back side of the building where friendly staff will assist in loading your new to you furniture into your vehicle.

Very little wood, and kind of on the pricey side anyhow. There is an entire huge room filled with random crap on shelves that you must sort through. Seriously, what am I supposed to do with an electric drill that doesn't include batteries? Nothing! That's what! I think they also sell furniture or whatever. I'm not saying it isn't worth going to, just temper your expectations. This isn't the Akron Restore we're talking about.

I visited this location for the first time ever on 2/21/25. Walking in the set up was so well done,…read moreI was excited to see the whole store. It is mostly clothes that I would say are fairly priced and they do have a HUGE selection. There shelves were very low on home goods and they just had a few pieces of furniture, but what they had was nice and well-staged. At the back of the store, there is an ADORABLE vintage Mickey Mouse clock. There is no signage to say price or if it is for sale or not. I assumed not, but on my way out, I did ask the two associates at the front (younger blonde-ish lady and middle-aged darker haired lady) if it happened to be for sale. I was completely fine with a no being the answer, but the darker haired lady responded "If you want to give me $1,000 you can have it." Again, I was totally fine with a no, and assumed it probably was not for sale, I just LOVE Mickey Mouse so I wanted to be sure because it isn't every day you see something so cool. I laughed a bit at the response and headed out at that point. The same clock is available on Ebay for $250, but I would have preferred Salvation Army get paid than some random person on Ebay. After leaving, a friend informed me that a majority of the items I had noticed when I walked in that were so nicely staged, are apparently also not for sale. And that staff being turned off by people asking about prices on those items often result in the same attitude back that I experienced. Again, totally fine if you don't want to sell people things, but signs would be nice or a kind response when people ask. I am a pretty firm believer in signage goes a long way, so if staff is going to be put off by people asking if something is or isn't for sale, I would recommend adding some "not for sale" signs around the store. No reason to be snarky with people asking if things are available or not. There are probably better options of places to shop and have a better experience with staff and a more straightforward shopping experience-and where you can still support great causes!

I am not a fan of spending a lot on money on clothes, so I shop with the 50% off discounts in mind and find bargains for my whole family. The staff is usually very friendly and helpful. I have found some gems in the home areas as well, but that is typically not what I'm looking for. I miss the dressing rooms, though, and would buy more if they came back. If I had any complaint, it would be that the music is entirely too loud in the shopping area. In my opinion, it should be background music and not excessively noisy. I prefer it more quiet, which allows for better thinking and a much more enjoyable shopping experience. If the staff needs the music loud in order to hear it, they could invest in a small radio near their station. Im very thankful Salvation Army Thrift Store serves our community.
