The Salvation Army does so much for their community. I appreciate that when I give our donations and we too are indirectly helping the community. We usually drop our boxes off and go in and shop. A lot of vintage glass wear and things you just can't live without. Lol. So share your lightly used stuff and find new stuff. read more

The volunteer mentioned putting my 6 year old son in the freezer to make him a "kid popsicle " and added his Frozen state would make putting him in his trunk, easier!!!! What the actual predatorial hell kind of place is this!? Also the lady at the desk was very snoopy about scrolling through my life history of notes, instead of processing my current need. It was rude,she was rude, I felt extremely uncomfortable and felt unsafe and exposed and as if my data was being harvested in greed. It's hard to find something reasonably priced for a thrift store. I paid $100.00 for a TV and didn't work long at all. Went in to get another one and told them of the problem. I was willing to purchase another TV with a small discount and they wouldn't do it. Sort of hard to deal with them here considering it is all donation. There is a lady in here who plays the piano very nicely while people shop though. read more

I had spent my afternoon going to multiple locations to drop off, nice well taken care of, items. Goodwill picked through my first load of items and refused to take most everything, except "things they could make money off of." The gentleman doing receiving at the salvation army was so polite and welcoming and even gave me back all our plastic containers. It was amazing. They rock! read more

I had to select 1 star to get access to the review process however my real rating is 0 stars. I called the Salvation Army to come and pickup several pieces of furniture and other items that would not fit in our new home including: a Lazy Boy double recliner couch, coffee table, end table, 2 book shelves, 2 sideboard cabinets, a wardrobe cabinet, 2 conversation chairs and some other smaller items. Mind you, this is not junk furniture, it is quality solid wood items that simply did not work our new space. When the truck came the driver spent all of 10 seconds looking at things then said they will have to pass on everything because they could not back the truck right up to where the items were stored in the garage and the driveway slope was "too steep" to carry things down...even with a hand truck and TWO guys. That's laughable because the movers moved things UP the sloped driveway when we moved in! I think the two Salvation Army guys that showed up were just flat out lazy and did not want to exert any effort at all in order to get their free donation of several hundred, maybe a thousand or more dollars. "If you can get it to us we'll take it" is what they said. What??? It will be a long long long time before I even consider donating anything to the Salvation Army. read more

I had a truck load of children's toys and clothes in excellent condition. I was trying to do the right thing and help the community. I was turned away, "we don't take children's clothes and we are well stocked on clothes." The staff was completely rude and acted like I was wasting there time. I ended up going to goodwill. read more

Very shoddy operation. I've been turned away four times with my boxes of donations, for one reason or another. I WANT to donate to the Salvation Army based on their excellent reputation and sacrificial service of executives, plus their message of Jesus. But this place is a travesty, and they've now forced me to rule out returning here with my fine items. My wife's silver sets and high-end clothing are going to Goodwill, and that makes me sick. read more

Went by today and it looked closed. There was a lot of people trying to see if they were open. A guy came to the door and said they were not open because they didn't have enough employees. Said two quit yesterday. Must have just got the assistance check! read more

Terrible customer service. over priced for broken items that have missing pieces. Will never shop there again. I've called 3 times for a manager and have gone in store and my problem still hasn't been resolved. If you want better prices and items and better customer service go to goodwill. read more
