As I've stated before, I rank my thrift stores on a few things: price, sizing, and customer service. The pricing here is HIGH and I mean HIGH. $10.79 for nicer shirts, $6.79 for a SHEIN crop top I'd pay maybe $3 for on the actual app but the brands were a tad nicer. Sizing and organization was probably my favorite of ANY goodwill. It was sized and organized by color! What a joy to shop. Customer service was through the roof. Greet as we walked in, updated on carts and half off tags. This store was clean, organized and friendly. If you are down to spend a little more dollar, you'll vibe way harder than I did. read more

This so called " Goodwill" has some of the highest prices I have ever seen. I was in there recently and found a plaid shirt that was a bit more than I wanted to buy, but decided to try it on. It was tagged at, " 10.29" It looked okay so I went to purchase. At the checkstand the young lady looked and looked for the tag but neither she nor I could find it. There was a long line so she and I were rushed. She decided to go back and have a new tag put on. When she returned, the new price was 13.29! I said, " No thanks!" She suggested that I go look for the other tag that may have fallen off while I tried it on. I was so shocked that the price went up 3.00 in less than five minutes, I just left. This was a used item, that was donated to them. I know for a few dollars more I could find a brand new one. I don't understand Goodwill at all. read more

We enjoy thrift stores and typically like Goodwill. We were staying in this town for a month and needed some simple items for our 5th wheel such as hangers and drinking glasses. I found some things here and I found some prices to be reasonable. But on some clothes prices were the highest I've ever seen at any thrift store. $8.95 for a used woman's shirt or skirt. I don't mind if it's good quality item but these were not. I've experienced this with all Goodwill stores that have crazy prices for certain brand name clothes, but then I'll find something marked for a decent price. So it's worth looking and you might get lucky and get the half off color tag of the day! And if you are over 55 you get an extra 10% off on Mondays... but you need to ask for it because they don't ask you if you are old and they certainly won't ask for ID! They had inclusive clothing sizes for everyone & a great selection of cute trinkets. The staff were very kind & courteous. I went to do some shopping there recently and was refused entry if I would not wear a mask on my face. This is ridiculous...they sell used clothes and merchandise. Every other store in town is allowing customers to make the choice to wear or not wear a face mask. Went to this Goodwill to donate a few clothes. There was a long line of cars going out into the street. I waited a while but I my car was in the way of other cars trying to get get out of the parking lot. I move around and parked, when in the donate bay and left my donations. A guy ran after me and said I had t stay in my car and wait in line. I told him the line went into the street and wasn't moving and I just wanted to leave these clothes. I refused them and threw the clothes back at me. This is absolutely ridiculous. I just wanted to make a simple donation. I will not donate, or buy from this Goodwill again. The purpose of Goodwill and thrift stores are to be thrifty. However you can walk 400 feet from this goodwill to Ross or another 400 feet TJ Maxx and purchase the same exact products brand-new for maybe two dollars more this, Goodwill defeats the purpose of spending less money by buying used products, it's kind of a disgrace. I also found solar battery operated hanging lights that I could find at the dollar store and they were three dollars here. read more

Worst thrift store in grants Pass This is now a self serve thrift store you have to bring your own bags, bring paper to wrap glassware, wrap your own glassware, put your items in the bag, scan your own items, take the clothes off the hangers, and hang the hangers up. Use the credit card machine and take your receipt the checkers cannot Hand you your receipt. So this goodwill should lower their prices, I had to wait in line while the cashier had a private conversation with a customer. read more

Absolutely love going here! I check in at least once a week! I always find the best clothing and home treasures here. The building is huge and so nicely organized! The staff is friendly and always stocking! Rude employees. Donation to these people is the worst experience ever. They act like they are put out to take your items. Very picky on what they want to take. Stupid rules like when you unload you can't put your item on the ground. What?? Also you have to drive up you can't just walk up to the door with your items to drop off. Went to both locations, the trailer by Safeway and the actual store by Harbor freight. Never again! I will find a different charitable company to take my good items, they are very ungrateful and just flat out rude! Also one added note, if you say that your open till 530 to accept donations, don't close your doors at 5:00 and tell people you don't take things after 5:00 because you have to sort out, that can wait till the next day what a joke! read more

Came by to make a donation on the side. Due to him being on a large order, three people parked and walked up with their small bags to drop off in a bin and he had no bins available. Jack ass told us all that we had to get back in our cars and wait in line or we could not donate. I USED to love to go to this Goodwill store. I've donated lots of stuff here, but I won't anymore. Their prices are WAYYYYYYYYYY higher now for the FREE stuff they get. How DISSAPOINTING on how GREETY they got. For the same price I can get new stuff elsewhere. They also have the gull to ask if you want to donate your change, who benefits for that? THEY DO. AND, last time I was there, there was at least 3 employees behind the counter, but none of them were even worried that there was a long line waiting to pay. There were at least 7 people in line. Service sucks. NOT only that, but you play heck to get your money back if you pay cash...even with a receipt. They KEPT part of my money on a return. I've gotten my money back, with a receipt, up to a year later at Walmart. I won't be going back!! read more

I do like thrift stores because you can usually find "one of a kind" merchandise and OWN it. This particular Goodwill has been good to me. The employees are courteous and actually quite nice. At one point in my life I would come in here and match jackets to skirts, creating a suit! Call it therapy. Nobody ever bothered me during these therapy sessions, the associates just let me be. Probably because I was usually heavily armed. You can get some really, really good deals at the "as is" store around the corner. I usually find a decent comforter for the sofa on the front porch for about a buck. The dog likes that I redecorate her bed every once in a while. read more

It's October so I've been buying a few things from the Halloween section but they've been refusing to give me tag sale price on normal items from the regular departments because they assume it's seasonal. They can't figure out their own tagging system! They also can't keep their noses out of what you're doing and love to go through your cart (along with customers) if you take your eye off of it for ten seconds. For a store that receives stuff for free and makes millions re-selling, they sure are rude. Went there to drop off stuff after a yard sale. David, who greeted us at the door for donations was extremely rude. He refused to take more than one cart of stuff. He said that all this other stuff had been sitting all day that they have not been able to sort through yet. Well, the stuff he pointed too had just been dropped off 30 minutes earlier, also from my garage sale. When I pointed this out to him, he got defensive and had to point out other stuff to make his point. Another truck pulled up as I was trying to give them stuff, FOR FREE I might add. He was even ruder to them. I will also be making a formal complaint in e-mail and to the store manager at the Grants Pass Goodwill. My stuff will be going elsewhere for now on. I will pay to take it to the dump before donating to them again. read more

The Goodwill in Grants Pass is employed with snobby, rude, and judgmental old ladies that have nothing better to do than snoop on customers. I go there almost weekly and spend at least $100 dollars and donate constantly yet the ladies go through my cart and follow me around the store. Their stuff is often times priced equal or more than it is at the store. They claim they do good for the community but all they do is rob from the poor. Goodwill employees tend to forget that their stuff is DONATED and is given to them for FREE!! They do not have the right to roll their eyes every time a price is 'suspiciously low'. The only good employee at the Grants Pass Goodwill is Lexi. She has great customer service and is never judgmental of the customers that walk in. So instead of driving faithful customers away, I suggest Goodwill and their salty employees get a handle on their shit and remember what they're there for. read more

Today is May 22nd. I went into Goodwill "as is" store today, they have moved again, just next door to where they were which is a smaller place. I once again was shocked at their prices. They have gone up again. I saw a set of ABC children's books with the "H" book missing. I went up to ask if the books were still 10 for a dollar and no she said they are now $.75 a piece. What? They are written in acceptable condition not like new! Amazing. Why would any one want to spend that on old used books? One book maybe if not so bad condition but a set of ABC books? That would be times 26. I guess people should not buy there for awhile and then they would lower their prices. read more

Living on a fixed income..that does not fluctuate as inflation does, many senior citizens such as myself depend on fair pricing especially from folks at the Goodwill. Seems this is no longer possible. The Goodwill of Grants Pass, and I hear many other towns have hiked their prices astronomically and quite unaffordable. Once shoes donated to the Goodwill were not more than $5.00, now $10. 00 and up! So many donate to the Goodwill hoping to help the disadvantaged and it seems the Goodwill is taking advantage of the elderly and poor. The Goodwill has become quite corporate cold in their attitude. my boyfriend and i entered the store both wearing our masks. after about that 30 minutes of shopping my boyfriend pulled his down for a couple minutes we were way more than 6 feet from anyone and he only had it it down for a couple of minutes when the cashier began to talk loudly to anyother customer pointing at him calling him careless and inconsiderate. bad mouthed him for a couple minutes before the customer walked away. this behavior is extremely immature and unprofessional. he obviously was considerate for wearing a mask in your store you just so happened to glance over at us during his few fresh breaths and took it upon yourself to use him as an "example" when everyone around was being respectful, keeping their distance, and wearing a mask. Almost everyone pulls their mask down once in a while to get some breaths not filled with co2. your behind a glass panel 30 feet away from us any ways. the older woman who wears heavy eye makeup should be fired. no customer should be publicly criticized for something normal read more
