It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I had talked to her before the appointment because I had a special occasion coming up and wanted my cut freshened up. I left the salon with something I absolutely did not want and was so upset. I called to tell Judith how I felt and was met with a cold unconcerned response. I thought I would never go back, but this spring Lilia came back, and I booked as soon as I could. My appointment was scheduled, although pretty far ahead as she was busy. I even put a deposit to hold it. Today I realized that my appointment was scheduled for tomorrow and I had not heard anything from the salon. I called to confirm and found out that again Lilia is not working. This time nobody bothered to call and tell me that my appointment had been cancelled nor offer me any alternative. If you cancel with them less that 24 hours, they charge a sizeable fee but seem to not give the same courtesy to their clients. I do not recommend this place. The stylists are good, but the owner has a big chip on her shoulder and has some questionable business practices. I contemplated not writing this updated review but changed my mind after this most recent incident. Consumers should be aware. Very disappointed.

I have one bit of advice for some of the staff, that I will pass on. Before I went to graduate school, I, too, worked in the service industry. My boss told me that the absolute hard and fast rule was to never discuss customers in front of other customers. I felt bad for the customer who was being discussed at great length, and in deep detail. I worry about how much I might be discussed. You are all young and smart enough to learn to not talk about customers. My hair looks great, though! To Madison Reed's Corporate Office: Linking the rating directly to Yelp is a terrible idea.
