The shop was clean and uncluttered (unlike others I have been in before) and the prices were right as well. In addition to the typical kitchen and household collectibles, check out the work of local artisans, like the cleverly bejeweled spiders with legs made from fork prongs. After visiting the Parowan Gap petroglyphs, be sure to grab a bite to eat and do some shopping on Main Street.

The proprietor was there and was very friendly, real small town hospitality. Also like many of these places you might find a diamond in the rough if you look hard enough. The prices are fairly reasonable too. Overall if you are passing through and like unique antique shops, this is worth a stop.

When we mentioned Tera's name, the tire shop got us right in and quickly resolved our tire issue. The Pink Polka Dott was perfect for us. Great location for our visits to Bryce, Zion, and Cedar Breaks. Clean, comfortable, and we loved the Art. If you do stay at the Pink Polka Dott, you've got to try the Backroads Bistro across the street. Excellent fresh food, great value, and wonderful chef who makes everything himself.

The owner is an older gentleman who travels everywhere in the country and brings back license plates, road signs and other trinkets like old soda/beer cans, water glasses, CD's and so much more. There were license plates available from all 50 states that ranged from $2.00 to $18.00. I was very happy with the Utah, Arizona and Hawaii ones I was able to snatch, all for only $20.00. Cash only, no exceptions.

I'm a post card collector, so I'll start there: A excellent, well-organized, and high-quality selection, especially for U.S. places. Usually a disorganized afterthought, it's great to see well-kept and beautiful post cards. IMHO, Antiques, Etc.'s greatest selling point is its wood furniture: Tall-boys, dropleaf tables, desks, chairs, buffets, China cabinets... to name a few. Is there an overall theme to the stuff? I'd say it has a very Midwestern, early 1900s vibe. It's easy to tell this is a well-curated collection. I do have a small recommend: Simplify the discounts by putting the percentage off right on the tag. The place is a little random in nature, but it's fun to find random stuff like quilting materials and patterns, tobacco canisters, a Band Director's uniform, and my personal fave, the 1940s GE L-916 floor console radio. Co-owner Mick is very friendly and easy to work with. He's been in the antique business for 30 years, and is a welcome addition the St. George antique community!

But it seemed really unnecessary for a business to make a light-hearted jaunt to an antique gift shop into something political. We took our money across the parking lot to the other antique shop, Gypsy Emporium, which was roughly 20x the size of this store (upstairs and downstairs) with endless aisles of antiques and homemade wares.
