Very, very, very expensive and the incense was so overpowering, it made me physically ill. No, thank you!

If you are looking for high quality mid century modern furniture, stop by this place. The art is what I find myself buying the most of. Very affordable for one of a kind art works or framed prints. It was the right size and comfortable. The only issue was it was black and doesn't match our decor. It's been tough finding a couch that is the right size, comfortable and matches our decor. We have more brown towns in our living room. Though the bookshelf we have is black and so is the TV and Coffee table. The reclining couch is a light tan color and the chair and ottoman is a chocolate brown color and our floors are chocolate brown. An older style floor, it is fake wood and looks really nice so we aren't ready to part with it. His sister found a gravy boat that she loved. It is nostalgic. It matched the set she had that she lost in the Palisades fire when when she lost her whole house. It's been a challenge for them to rebuild. After all this time they are finally laying the concrete for the foundation. They are going to rebuild even though it's gong to be a huge expense and time consuming. They now live in a two bedroom apartment. They haven't lived in an apartment since before their son was born and he is 17 years old now so the adjustment has been brutal. She continues to look at second hand stores and antiques stores in hopes of finding those items she lost in the fire. I love looking around but, have yet to find a treasure I couldn't live with out. We will be back on our hunt for that loveseat that we desperately need. Now we h ave enough seating for 4, but it's awkward. At best it really sits 3. A couch that really seats 2 and a Ikea chair. We really need the space for anther seat so we can have a couple over.

Lots of stuff for my childhood, was taking me way back. My man found a super cool postcard from Balboa Park in San Diego that is over 100 years old and hand painted, we used to live there and loved it. It's a tiny bit stuffy in there is really my only beef. People that work there are very nice.

A Frightening and Unacceptable Experience at the 57th Street Antiques Mall…read more My husband and I visited The 57th Street Antiques Mall in Sacramento on October 10th. We had visited previously and genuinely enjoyed the experience, so we decided to return for another afternoon of shopping and a nice lunch. I expected to spend at least $100 on antiques and other items. Unfortunately, what we experienced this time was so disturbing that we will never return. Almost immediately after we walked through the door, a male employee began following me around the store. He was not wearing anything that identified him as an employee, so I had no idea who he was or why he was following me. The situation became genuinely frightening when he corralled me into a small booth where there was no clear way to exit. He then took a photograph of me with his phone. I cannot adequately describe how frightened I felt. I was on the verge of a panic attack, and had my husband not come into view when he did, I was so terrified that I was prepared to defend myself. I have never felt so unsafe while simply trying to shop. Unfortunately, that was not the end of the experience. Later, while examining a display of rings and considering whether any might be suitable for the book-launch gift boxes I am putting together, an exceptionally tall man approached me and stood so close behind me that I could feel his body heat against my back. This was intimidating and completely unnecessary. Meanwhile, employees appeared to be following my Asian husband around the store as though they suspected him of being a criminal. One employee moved so quickly to keep up with him that she nearly knocked over a shelf of porcelain figurines. My husband was thankfully unaware of what was happening, but watching this behavior only added to my distress. Let me be clear: customers should not have to feel intimidated, followed, cornered, photographed, or treated like criminals when they enter a business. If employees have legitimate concerns, there are professional and respectful ways to address them. Making paying customers feel threatened is not one of them. We returned because we had enjoyed our first visit. We came prepared to spend money and have a pleasant day. Instead, I left feeling frightened, unwelcome, and deeply disappointed. The saddest part is that this experience has permanently changed how I feel about a place I had previously enjoyed. I will take my business elsewhere, where I can browse in peace, feel safe, and be treated with basic courtesy and respect. The 57th Street Antiques Mall has lost our business. I would much rather spend my money at establishments where customer service means helping customers, not making them feel as though they are being watched, pursued, or accosted.

The coolest thing is that they have a small indoor movie theater that will be opening very soon, featuring movies from our past. All types of genres, and all of them, of course very classic! Everything in the Emporium is for sale, and it doesn't appear that you can negotiate prices so it is what it is. Definitely a fun way to spend an hour or three, and who knows what cool things you will find to purchase and make your own?!?
