I'm from the Bay Area but when in Sacramento this is one of my favorite places to find unique…read morefurniture, art and jewelry. If you are looking for high quality mid century modern furniture, stop by this place. The art is what I find myself buying the most of. Very affordable for one of a kind art works or framed prints. The staff / owners are always friendly and knowledgeable.

It was the right size and comfortable. The only issue was it was black and doesn't match our decor. It's been tough finding a couch that is the right size, comfortable and matches our decor. We have more brown towns in our living room. Though the bookshelf we have is black and so is the TV and Coffee table. The reclining couch is a light tan color and the chair and ottoman is a chocolate brown color and our floors are chocolate brown. An older style floor, it is fake wood and looks really nice so we aren't ready to part with it. His sister found a gravy boat that she loved. It is nostalgic. It matched the set she had that she lost in the Palisades fire when when she lost her whole house. It's been a challenge for them to rebuild. After all this time they are finally laying the concrete for the foundation. They are going to rebuild even though it's gong to be a huge expense and time consuming. They now live in a two bedroom apartment. They haven't lived in an apartment since before their son was born and he is 17 years old now so the adjustment has been brutal. She continues to look at second hand stores and antiques stores in hopes of finding those items she lost in the fire. I love looking around but, have yet to find a treasure I couldn't live with out. We will be back on our hunt for that loveseat that we desperately need. Now we h ave enough seating for 4, but it's awkward. At best it really sits 3. A couch that really seats 2 and a Ikea chair. We really need the space for anther seat so we can have a couple over.

Lots of stuff for my childhood, was taking me way back. My man found a super cool postcard from Balboa Park in San Diego that is over 100 years old and hand painted, we used to live there and loved it. It's a tiny bit stuffy in there is really my only beef. People that work there are very nice.

Within minutes, an employee…read morewalked up and took my bag out of my hands, telling me they don't let people carry bags because they don't trust customers not to steal. My bag was held at the front until I left. No one greeted me to mention a bag policy when I walked in. I was simply singled out and treated like a criminal in the middle of the store. Also, several people around me had bags from other businesses but they only took mine. When I spoke to the owner about how disrespectful this was, both to customers and to the neighboring shops whose purchases we're carrying, she took a nasty tone and told me she was disappointed in me. I have never been spoken to that way by a shop owner after being the one wronged. If you have a bag policy, tell people at the door. Don't wait until a customer is halfway through the store and then confiscate their belongings. The antique shops in this area depend on people walking from one to the next, and this one clearly doesn't value that. I won't be back, and I'd encourage others to spend their money at the businesses that treat customers and neighbors with basic respect.

There are individual vignettes that all flow together creating this huge footprint of magical items. Do you remember TV trays? You'll find them here! Do you remember vinyls? You'll find them here! Do you remember jukeboxes? You'll find them here! Let your imagination run, wild, and you'll be surprised at all of the things big and little that you will find as you peruse through the space. The coolest thing is that they have a small indoor movie theater that will be opening very soon, featuring movies from our past. All types of genres, and all of them, of course very classic! Everything in the Emporium is for sale, and it doesn't appear that you can negotiate prices so it is what it is. Definitely a fun way to spend an hour or three, and who knows what cool things you will find to purchase and make your own?!?
