Certainly one of the best pubs in Staffordshire (if not THE best). A wide selection of beers are available, including traditional, guest traditional, Belgian/German (bottle conditioned) and even a few lambics. The form of the draught beer is consistently of high quality. The staff are very friendly and there is always a warm atmosphere. It can get a little cramped sometimes, due to it's own popularity, so if you want a seat, I'd advise an early (pre-20:00) arrival. There is a patrons car park to the rear, for those with a designated driver. If you like traditional pubs, you'll love this place. It has (finally!) won the CAMRA (Potteries Division) Pub Of The Month award for December 2012. Recognition well deserved and not before time! read more
