The title of this business is Nail's Mini Storage, that's because they also rent out climate controlled and non-climate controlled storage at the same spot. They also rent commercial office space, where I have my office. The convenience store is one of the newest in the area, so it is clean, well lit, and bright. David does a great job of keeping the parking lot and surrounding area looking very nice. His gas prices are good, and the selection inside is very good for a C store. It's really like a mini grocery store. Plus (being near Lake Martin) it's nice that they have some boating and fishing supplies. He also has his own ice maker, so he never runs out, which is a feat on busy summer days like the 4th of July. Their coffee is consistently good, and service is always friendly. You won't regret visiting Nail's.

Instead, a teacher I worked with that day told me there was a deli with a cafeteria hot meal bar in the gas station at Hwy 84. I chose country cooking over fast food and it was a terrific choice. There is a menu with sandwiches but I went with the meat and 2 choice. Today, the choices were BBQ Chicken, pork chops, or chicken tenders. I went with the BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes, and blackeye peas. All of it made for a solid, homestyle, country cooking lunch. My lunch also included a massive piece of fried cornbread, apple cobbler, and sweet tea. Quite a meal with some tasty fixings that cost $9...a little more than fast food, but soooo much better in every aspect. Next time I work at the school in Wicksburg, I will be contemplating ways on how to make it up to Robert's Cafe.
