We end up getting food from here all the time. They really do a good job with their specials. It just keeps you coming back. I have enjoyed the choke and shroom since they opened, and many times I still get it with my order. Lately I have come to love the dates, although they do a damn good bread pudding or other special desserts as well. My new favorite pizza is the pickle. Sounds weird I know but it's fantastic. We ordered the garlic knots and one pepperoni pizza & one pepperoni & Italian sausage. Root beer was Triple XXX and it came in a glass bottle. The food did not disappoint! Very cute place. You can eat in the restaurant or they have a big to go window facing the courtyard. Plenty of places to have a little picnic with your pizza. I wish I had time to eat inside because they had some incredible looking mixed drinks. I'm particularly interested in trying the lychee mule. We almost just passed by this place on our search for lunch but I am glad we did not. If I describe this place as a "hole in the wall", I don't mean to diminish the quaint appearance of this restaurant. There is space for maybe 10 guests comfortably inside and the window with seat on the outside ledge allow more guests when the weather cooperates. This place serves up delicious, thin crust pizzas and the pictures just don't do it justice. I tried the Purple Pig and the jalapeño appetizers and liked both enough to want more. It's not necessarily a dinner spot as the portions are small. This isn't a full service restaurant where you should expect to unbuckle your belt after a meal. This pizza is meant to entertain your palate with flavor and texture. Expect a unique interesting pizza experience for a decent buck. This company started as a food truck so keep that in mind when you go. That's the experience you should expect. The Rolling Stonebaker, is nestled into the heart of Valparaiso INDIANA. It is easy to miss if you are not paying attention but in my opinion that's ok. I was not impressed with the style of pizza, their over cooked/ burnt pizza is a joke. The crust is too thin to cook at the temperature they cook it at. So one of two things is happening here. 1. They don't know how to cook. Or 2. They have the heat on the oven on to high. So we are a family of 5 and it was 80.00 for pizza that wasn't good. I've had better pizza for 20.00 but we're new to the area so we are trying new places. Before you ask did I complain? I didn't complain, I told the waitress about it nothing was offered, an apology is all I got and a smile. I could have been rude and kept going but I like to give the company the opportunity to make things right. Well that was it, never seen our waitress again until I asked another waitress for our bill. So I learned a few things about this place. 1. They can't cook pizza unless you like your crust well done. 2. It's way over priced for what it is 3. Their dine in area is extremely small but there is outside seating (park benches, metal tables and bench seats with umbrellas. 4. Their idea of pizza is not the same as mine 5. This place is a JOKE. Almost all of the employees make fun of their customers behind the counter. They judge people and are all bullies. My friend used to work there and she would leave crying everyday from the way the other employees treated her. Andreas only good pizza... "the purple pig".... She stole from her ex husband along with the restaurant itself. She owes multiple young employees paychecks that she refuses to own up to. This company should not be supported and the lack of unprofessionalism is a shame for such a nice area. Not to mention slapping tomato sauce on old bagged up pita bread isn't even pizza. J-O-K-E. We love the Rolling Stonebaker. We've been to the Dunes for vacation several times and always go to the Rolling Stonebaker in Beverly Shores. Well, the weather wasn't so good while we were there this time, so we sought out their brick and mortar location. We were glad we did! The staff at this location is just as friendly as their rolling locations, the food - crispy thin pizza with a char on the edges and stoner bites - was tasty. (We wish they would expand to St. Louis.) This is definitely a highlight of a trip to the Dunes. The location is definitely tiny, but our group of six pushed two tables together and the staff was great answering questions, quick to bring the items we ordered, and keeping beverages filled. We were able to get one of their new posters. Will have it framed and hang in our kitchen at home. read more

We especially enjoyed the BBQ version. And, amazingly they can bake up a pizza in about 90 seconds so it's a quick meal if you're looking for something on the go. Probably the only con to the place is it's size. If you wanting to sit down to eat avoid going during peak times. There are only 15 or so seats so it fills up quick.
