Finally tried this place after years of seeing it in my town. Blew my tastebuds away! I haven't had…read moregood lamb in a while and this place reminded me what lamb should taste like. Falafel was also really good. I had both on top of my rice with white sauce and the combination was perfect. Salad was really fresh no bad veggies or weepy greens. Came with dressing. Pita was a little too black for me but nevertheless I didn't really mind because it was good. The hummus is different from the hummus in used to eating/making but I didn't mind it at all! The service was also really great, the lady working (who gave me my food) was very nice and made small talk with me. Not a sit down, place only take out, but inside looks really cool. I would definitely recommend this place 9/10!!!

After ordering I realized I didn't ask for the sauce on the side, I was beyond impressed by the presentation when it arrived as all the sauces were on the side as well as the chicken so that my salad didn't get soggy. Everything was neatly packed. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and seasoned but not too salty. The salad was beautiful fresh spring mix blend, and it came with a homemade lemony vinaigrette. I got a side of falafel and they were cooked to perfection, well seasoned. The humus was actually better than mine and I'm Middle Eastern. It came with warm pita bread that had a light char on it and really added a depth of flavor. My only regret is I didn't order one for leftovers tomorrow! Good portions for the price. if you're checking out reviews because you're skeptical like me give them a try you definitely won't be disappointed!

I have to give some well-deserved love to the butcher team at the Watertown Meat Center…read more If you're someone who enjoys cooking (or just enjoys eating really good meat), this place is a gift to have in town. The quality is consistently excellent, but what really sets them apart is that they actually have real butchers behind the counter who know their craft and are happy to help you find -- or cut -- exactly what you're looking for. Case in point: this weekend my youngest son decided he wanted picanha for dinner. Not exactly the most common suburban grocery store request. I walked up to the counter fully prepared for the usual "we might be able to order that for next week" conversation... and within moments they had it cut and ready for me. Boom. Dinner plans saved. Their meat case and selection are honestly elite. Beautiful cuts, great variety, and the kind of quality that makes you want to cook something ambitious. I'll also admit that in some of my past reviews I've had a little "constructive feedback" for other departments in the store. Let's just say I'm slowly making my amends. But the butcher shop? They've been consistently fantastic. Great service. Great product. Real expertise. We're lucky to have a place like this in town.

Lou, aka "Dad," runs the show--he caters parties and is always at food festivals. I was at a music festival in Shelton, Connecticut, and I spotted Dad's Cannoli Truck. They also have coconut, cherry, and chocolate Bavarian flavors. The cannoli and ricotta cheese tasted super fresh, and the shell was crispy, bubbly, and a little blistered on the outside, holding rich, smooth ricotta inside. My daughter really enjoyed them.

When you enter, you're always greeted by the friendly woman who owns the store. It's everything you'd expect from a New England packy- dim lighting, smells like Grandma's basement, cramped with little floor space, but still fully stocked with liquors, wine, and beer. A lot of the beer is refrigerated, which is always great. If I ask for nippers, they always ask if I'd like them cold. They go above and beyond to make sure I have everything I want before I leave- even if it means digging around for something that hasn't yet been stocked. The prices are comparable with other small-business package stores, so if you're traveling in the area, I very much recommend K&S for your liquor needs.
