Snow tubing review…read more Great price, it's $25 for two hours of fun which is more reasonable than lakeridge being $40. Both places have 4 tubing lanes that seem roughly same height. This place has smaller tubes for minimum height of 40 inches while Lakeridge is minimum 42 inches and only one size. So this is a friendlier place for little ones starting their tubing experience, as they need to be able to reach the grip. We love going as a group of tubes, lots of fun spinning down the slope. Only down side here is there is only one lift for all users. So the lift gets shared with tubers, skiers, and snowboarders. It's a standing carpet that seems to get stuck often. Approximately 3-4 rides per hour, due to crowds or stalling of lift, and it wasn't that busy on our visit. Staff here are all friendly, free parking. Easy booking online for slotted time, check in outside the building for passes. Washrooms are small but clean. Lots of indoor cafeteria seating. Small outdoor seating by wood burning fire pit. Small cafeteria, Dina's which serves decent burgers, poutines and simple snacks. The prices are reasonable, it's just really slow service. Waited 12 mins for poutine ($8) and it wasn't busy. Tip: There is a free sledding hill but you need to bring your own sled and walk up the hill. For reference, this hill is a good training hill for those new to ski/snowboard. Pretty narrow and short but great to learn from. It wasn't busy when we were there so that helps learners. Jump ramps were highlighted in blue on the snow.

I got my first tubing experience here, the hill is pretty small, but the overall experience is not bad. As I said before, this place has only one small hill, it is shared between tubing and skiing. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and there are so many kids. Each ride takes 20 mins wait time. There is only one magic carpet shared among all people. Also, there are only 3 slides for tubing. Small, but a good place to spend afternoon with family or group.

They also run summer/ March break sporting camps (tennis, basketball). This centre also features a play place in a room with really high ceilings - includes a small play structure and some kids toys throughout. There is a small sensory room that is always supervised. A large library with private study rooms available for booking. The pool is so spacious and bright! Large pool available for lane swim and a decent size kid pool. There is also a waterslide and small splash pad that isn't always in use/ turned on. The onsite gym isn't the largest but has decent equipment and a nice large 3 lane track (slow, medium, fast) that overlooks the gymnasium from above. Parking garage has been under construction for years. It also doesn't connect to the rec centre directly during this time of construction/ sometimes the elevator is not operational which is inconvenient especially in the winter when you have to exit the parking garage only to walk a few meters to enter the rec centre.

I've brought my kids here for basketball and swimming classes. We visit this library from time to time. I've also rented their meeting rooms before for my kid's birthday party - very spacious. They have a small indoor playground which is great but in my opinion I would say it's probably more for kids 5 years and up based on the structure.

For years, I have been cutting through Schomberg to get to another town or city. It is in the…read moretownship of King. It's a part of York region. Markham, where I live, also is a part of this region. I was finally eligible to book both my COVID-19 vaccination appointments. My options were to find a pharmacy that had vaccine appointments available, do a drive-thru shot clinic in Whitchurch-Stouffville, or come to a clinic set up at Trisan Centre. My options looked bleak at first. I was on the waiting list at three different pharmacies near me. All appointments at the drive-thru clinic in Whitchurch-Stouffville were booked. The clinic at Trisan Centre had lots of appointments available. I was so relieved! I booked both appointments online through York region's site and was good. I took half the day off from work to come here today. I was impressed by how organized and friendly all staff were. It was easy finding this place. I was first greeted by a woman who conducted triage with each car coming into the parking lot. I learned that there were two lineups: walk-ins and appointments. Since I fell into the appointments category, I was instructed to swing to the back left of the building and line up on the other side of the tent. The lineup that I saw speaking to the woman was the walk-in one. I headed into the lineup and waited. It was a gorgeous 20C outside. I had absorbed more vitamin D in line than I probably did all winter last year. While waiting, a female staff member asked me to fill out the King screening set of questions online. It was straightforward. When I finally got to the entrance, I spoke with a woman who found my name on her list after asking when my appointment was. She then asked me to walk through the doors. Another woman asked me to sanitize my hands. I then met up with a man who wanted to see my screening results. I was good. He pointed me over to a man who would take my health card information, ask a few more questions, and then gave me the nod to head inside the hockey arena that is now a vaccination clinic. It has been over a year since I have set foot in any hockey arena. It felt good. Trisan Centre is home to the Schomberg Cougars (minor hockey). The arena is pretty cool with plexiglass dividers in the seating areas. They may not make folks who are afraid of heights or something comfortable, but I liked the modern, open vibe that they gave. Everyone was nice and professional. I got to vaccine station 8 and had the nicest medical doctor, Wasan, who asked me some more screening questions. She then asked me which arm I wanted the vaccine and she did a wonderful job explaining everything to me as I got my shot. I sat in the observation area for fifteen minutes. I then headed to my car and headed home. I felt safe and great afterwards. Doors were open at the arena, so there was lots of ventilation. Hand sanitizer was everywhere. Chairs were constantly being sanitized. All precautions were being taken. It has been roughly seven hours since I had my shot. I don't have any soreness in my arm. I do have a dull, mild headache, which is a side effect and is nearly gone. I would love to check out a hockey game here when things are back to normal. In the meantime, Trisan Centre is a perfect vaccine clinic for York region. The drive was relaxing and I can finally say that I've been to Schomberg! (164)

(WARNING: THIS REVIEW WAS MADE ON SEPTEMBER 2024. REVIEW MAY NOT BE ACCARUATE LATER ON)…read more McGregor Pool. A place where you could unwind. right... right?? So we will only be two topics Pool and staff so lets go! POOL: Alright so right off the bat. my visits. there was a kid who threw up 2 times different times and different days. And that was couple of days after it just opened. now its like what. but the rest of the times. it was good. Its very cold for cold weather. but if hot. it could be amazing. like amazing amazing. in case of babys bathrooms or shower. There are shower rooms that have showers then a dressing room (sometimes its locked sometimes its not) it just depends. but back to the topic there is a bathroom. now A QUICK WARNING. because people are going to need it. if you are a boy. who needs to use the washroom. if you go to the boys shower room and head to the bathroom. there is only one stall. now if you head to the unviersal. there is multiple. and the showers are the same only 4 for all shower rooms. there is a office for FIRST AID and more. STAFF: Now this one is going to be pretty short unlike the pool one. because well there isnt much things to say. some staff are nice some are not. and thats kind what sums it. as there really isnt nothing else to say expect most of the staff are nice. SHOULD YOU GO TO THIS POOL: Yea! Its peaceful sometimes. can get a bit crowed but if you are near mcgregor and want to go do a quick swim. this is your place! - Ethan K.

I remember spending 13 days in four different Toronto community centres including this one from 24-Dec-2013 to 04-Jan-2014. The North American event was called the 2013 Toronto Ice Storm locally. So much of this city was impacted by the significant severe winter weather storm that included a crippling blanket of ice that forced Toronto to open up a number of community centres as emergency shelters. I even celebrated my birthday here during a midnight shift, complete with a cake that another volunteer bought and then totally surprised me with! The staff here were terrific, then and now. What great memories about what these functional community centre are when times were really tough, and when I'm only here to freely exercise my democratic right to Vote!
