My wife doesn't know these people who ignorantly react out of emotion for whatever personal issue they had with us. The volunteers obviously are not in one accord because we get told different things and even I didn't know who was who. I just saw volunteers in their blue shirts who are supposed to be helping the needy. After 5 years of going there on and off we get invited for free breakfasts every Friday morning and given the 5-star treatment that we never saw coming nor expected it. I figured that was just some kind of break area for volunteers until the volunteers began showering us with hospitality and invited us over for eggs, bacon, coffee etc. Seemed like we were sitting at a 5:star restaurant getting served at a covered table and all. Then within a couple months we're told we can't do that with their excuse being "the economy" which I saw as strange because this was something I only started partaking in for maybe two months. The Friday during spring break when I broughtt my three children must've annoyed someone there... Someone no doubt complained even though this was not our idea and they should've told me first and not harass my wife while I'm sitting in the barber chair wondering what that Stephen was saying to my wife. So shortly after the breakfast thing for us stopped that Stephen guy said I couldn't get haircuts there anymore. What is wrong with this racket?? Ann Marie then tried to make herself look good by saying at the sign-in table table I could get a haircut if I wait till 11:00 which I was fine with but then minutes after her showing off her hand holding prayer circle with whoever was coming off the street she has the audasticity to backpedal and say I'm banned from Daystar. I don't know about these rumors of her "diocese" or supporting their wealthy Pope but in any case she did us wrong and her sidekick Stephen is a coward for not approaching me instead he accosts my handicapped wife and leaving her confused and upset along with my special needs daughter who was just as confused by Daystar volunteers or employees' lies, contradictions and disorganization. My wife and I didn't take anything without permission and we never asked for exceptions. I don't know how long Anna Marie's been running Daystar but she's very untrustworthy and the way sheand Stephen treated my wife and I along with others doesn't suit whatever religion or faith they supposely claim. Furthermore, CCSO should send investigators to this place especially with those suspicious figures wondering about the premises including crossdressers and these other loiterers that have been gawking my wife, my daughter and other ladies on the Daystar Life Center property.

When I came to pick it up, Sarah also did several tutorials with me and patiently answered all of my questions, as WELL as helping me with a couple of iphone snafus! They followed through on everything they said and are terrific communicators. Their customer service is remarkable and they are truly patient and genuinely good people! 18 years' experience shows that they'll be around for all of us!

Went to see some manatees during Christmas break. Site is well-maintained and staff and volunteers…read morewere informative and kind. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes as there is a dirt road for a portion of the loop. Also, if you have polarized sunglasses, that is beneficial to see the manatee. When the sun reflects off of the water, it can make it more difficult to see certain areas where the manatees are, so bring polarized glasses. There is also a Groupon for snorkeling with the manatees that we hope to go back and do in the upcoming year. Nice little day trip.

This place was recently opened and is a brand new construction building. The exhibits are high-tech…read moreand interactive. The space is not too big, but offers a few distinct sections to learn about the manatees and other animals in the area. There is even a small gift shop onsite and they accept donations since this is a free place. There was a mask policy and they provide masks. The best part of our visit was the park ranger that came running in, asking us if we wanted to go down to the water because there was a manatee asleep right off the dock and shallow so we could see. It was a site to marvel. Even though we had been swimming with them the day before, this was almost just as cool.

Last Friday we stopped at the Key Training Center Thrift store in Homosassa looked around and…read morepicked up a couple small frying pans that were BOGO that day. At the register the clerk rung up at regular price for two, we told her they are listed on the specials board as BOGO...she didn't know but said oops sorry. Instead of taking the price off for one of the pans she gave a slip of paper for store credit and only good for one month. We were upset at the policy no refunds...we had not left the register area? If we use that "store credit" we will have to drive over 100 miles round trip...we have been there many times and found some nice things to buy. I think some better schooling is in order. How hard is it to say by the way x items are on special today...and learn how to put a bogus charge back on the credit/debit cards.
