When Lori Murray invited us to today's Pollinator Census Party, my friend and I (Kathy & Kitty) were excited to come back. What a lovely and fun experience it was! Lori was well prepared. She explained the pollinator-counting process perfectly and guided us through our 15-minute observation period. She was continually available to answer questions and even offered to help us submit our results. Lori had her adorable air-conditioned "She Shed" set up with delicious Italian and turkey sandwiches, cookies, candy and the most delicious green tea with honey! Her plants are absolutely beautiful and reasonably priced. My friend bought 4 plants during our first trip. My husband and I plan to return on Tuesday to work with Lori on creating a beautiful full-sun arrangement for a 20 inch pot we have in our backyard (hopefully with a tall "thriller" in the center and beautiful Purple and Fuscia Penta fillers around it that will attract the butterflies and bees like the ones we counted today. I'm looking forward to getting Lori's advice because she clearly knows her plants! If you love gardening, flowers, pollinators or simply supporting a wonderful local business, I highly recommend Murray's Flowers & Fun Finds. We're so glad we discovered this little gem! Thank you, Lori, for making our first visit (and our first Pollinator Census) such a memorable experience!

I have been visiting the Sheriff's Ranches thrift store for the past 13 years, and most of the…read moretime, my experiences have been fine. However, there is one policy that I find very frustrating, and it feels like a scam. Their return policy states that they do not refund money; instead, you only receive store credit. This is their biggest issue. For example, their washers are not tested, and they claim this is because there is no external water hookup available. You have just three days to make a return, so if you buy something on a Thursday, your return window will expire by the following Sunday. It's important to note that this is a commercial building, and it is against county code not to have an external water hookup. Additionally, under Florida law, retailers are not required to provide you with a refund.
