BUT, even past all the fun that my friend and I had here (which was amazing; it's a stress relief session, time to jam, and workout all at once), I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to the two ladies who we saw working on the afternoon of May 2nd. I absolutely slammed a hammer handle into my own shin (giant bruise but all good a day later) and both of them were so kind, got me ibuprofen, some cold water, an ice pack, and let me sit in their prep room as long as I needed before I felt okay to leave. Amazing service and overall kindness from the both of them and I absolutely will be back!

I chose the paint and smash room as a "bundle." It is pricey so if you have multiple kids you're paying for...get prepared to spend dat, lol. My son had a blast and actually got tired in the smash room. He NEVER gets tired. They give you a container of items to break by using different tools or throwing in certain areas of the room. They give you an option to add more items, but you're already spending a lot. This wouldn't be a regular activity for us, but it was fun.

A fun Girls Night Out in PVB! Sign-in upon arrival & locate your project along the multi-person…read moretable. Lots of hustling on a Friday night - three employees ... two extremely helpful; probably more than they are supposed to be ... made clear at the beginning - they are there to guide you - but the artwork/project is yours and yours alone to complete. Pretty structured with project ... distressing wood seemed to be required - even after comments heard; not my style! Then sanding away any and all edges! Staining wood project is mandatory ... from there, you add paint (oodles to choose from!); then your pre-cut stencil design ... then painting & removal of stencil without damaging your project ... can't go too fast ... and can't go too slow ... would imagine the more you do; the better you are. Also available - ear plugs, as the distressing can get loud! Water and soda - even saw a wine frig, but didn't partake! It is a fun event and everyone enjoyed themselves! Website very comprehensive when picking project ... reminder emails helpful too.

We went on sangria night , so they served free sangria which was nice but we also were able to bring our own drinks. The boards were already cut we just stained and painted them with our design. We wanted to add in some lines so we left them there since that stencil wasn't cut yet and picked them up at a different time. After we picked them up my fiancé put the poly acrylic on it to finish the boards. The process wasn't hard and we even added on the corn hole bags to go with our board. We loved how they turned out and the experience!

My wife, my kids and I heard about the Mandarin Minicon on Mythical Mountain's facebook page and…read moredecided it would be fun to check out the even which sounded like it would be hopping with a ton of vendors and things to see. I was under the impression that this was a relatively large event that I assumed (incorrectly) would fill the parking lot of the shopping center. I have to admit that I was, unfortunately, a bit let down. There was some fun stuff for my kids to see (mainly the few cosplayers) but there really weren't very many vendors or items that I expected at a "mini-con." I wanted to see a ton of toys, other comic vendors, artists, limited edition items, etc but most of it were just casual artists set up at a table. A few things were cool but nothing that I felt especially inclined to buy. Don't get me wrong, I am glad they throw this event and never turn down an opportunity to visit Mythical Mountain... but going inside the store was really the best part of the trip.
