Junction 32 is mainly good if you are wanting to go out & get some fresh air, or if you're wanting…read moreto take something back. But, there's not really that much there apart from going to a cafe for some tea. There is loads of clothes shops at J32, but there's only a few of them that are on the High Street, and others are shops which you've probably never heard of before. I'm only rating this place 2 stars, but that's maybe because I'm used to seeing the High Street shops.

Yay! I'm a fan. As a consummate bargain hunter I love any opportunity to have a nosey around places…read morethat offer good quality goods at bargain prices. Located just across the road from the fabulous Xscape, Junction 32 is the more shopping oriented venue out of the two, offering an array of discounted shops, in the form of Christy's, Gap, Gaggie, Whitard's, Nike Factory Outlet, Rockport, LaSenza, Monsoon, Mango and Mexx to name but a few. Once you've walked your feet off following the square layout of the place, there's a Starbucks to indulge in, but as Starbucks' go, this one isn't that brilliant, Thornton's Cafe, Subway, BB's and some others to recoup and gather energy back to the core. But if that doesn't just do it for you, wander over to Xscape as there are plenty of food facilities over there. Massive car park, so if you've climed into your motor vehicle, there's no worry about finding a place to park, and it's free too, nice little bonus. Open until 8 on weekdays, it's been a life saver on occasions where work doesn't permit leaving until 6pm, and everywhere's shut.

Trinity Walk is quite an impressive shopping centre in Wakefield, albeit it was built and opened…read moreover 6 years ago now in 2011, it still does feel really modern especially as you walk in, with the cool signage, however, getting into the car park just feels old on the other hand, the way in I found was entering through a Sainsbury's car park and then navigate (if you know how to) to basement parking for the rest of the mall, charged at the same rate of around 80p an hour. In all honesty, there are over 1000 parking spaces yet there isn't a lot of lifts (unless they are hidden?) - and the car parking spaces also seemed the same for me, hidden, albeit I didn't know the area very well and perhaps I could have missed a rather obvious sign. Although not as big and nice of a centre of Trinity Leeds, which opened two years after this, just 11 miles away, with many bigger names including Apple, this mall still has some good things about it. It has four anchor tenants including a very large Sainsbury's supermarket store and an even larger store by meters squared, Debenhams, Trinity Walk has a few eating places including one of the best Pizza Express branches I have visited, and a former Burger unit, which is recently empty based on appearance, and the fact it is actually still on the mall's website. Caffe Nero and Costa all have branches here but sadly my favourite coffee chain, Starbucks did not so I ended up calling at Hartshead Moor Services on my way home to Manchester to grab my Venti White Mocha Cold Brew. Other retailers here include a WHSmith which has a post office inside, JD Sports, ASDA George, EE, Game, Superdrug and Topman, there also is a PureGym here. Of course this mall is dwarfed by those nearby, such as Trinity Leeds 11 miles away, and Meadowhall in Sheffield 22 miles away, Leeds White Rose 8 miles away, yet in my opinion it still beats other local malls such as the newer Westfield of Bradford, but still for a town with a population of just short of 80,000, this mall is still quite impressive and does feature some big names, and I feel it has just touched on a three star rating and to consolidate this some more, perhaps adding better, more obvious parking and a few more eateries, with the only place appealed to me (other than a coffee shop) being Pizza Express.

I now declare the delightful new shopping centre well and truly open)…read moreWhat a very exciting day for Wakefield and the Yorkshire region. Most stores are open with a few to follow soon. There is a real vibe and buzz around the place. It is far bigger than better than expected and has a lovely big Sainsbury's and Debenhams.

'Batley Mills' is a great place to visit for a relaxed one stop discounted shopping experience…read more I am pleased to say 'The Mill' in the last couple of years has evolved and improved greatly on their selection of women's clothing and fashion, catering for a wider range of clients than just the over 60s. As well as Planet and Precis Petite, they have expanded their clothing range to include Minuet, Kaliko and Jacques Vert which is great. I have as a result started going to the Mill regularly to keep my work wardrobe up to date. I have really had some good buys. As well as the improved womens clothing, the Mill in Batley is a great place to find handbags, luggage, wallets and purses etc. The discounted brands include Radley and Hideskin The staff seem helpful and friendly and if you are visiting by car there is plentiful free parking (although it can get busy at the weekends). The Cafe Nova coffee shop is located on the 1st floor of the mill and they not only serve delicious teas and italian coffee but their cakes and sandwich selections are also very tempting and a great excuse to have a break. It would be nice if good quality fashionable footwear could be introduced to the mill, similar to the selections found at the Boundary Mill in Colne. I also think emailing offers and information out to customers regularly for shopping events such as an extra 10% off or a free coffee voucher would be a good way of encouraging cutomers to keep visiting. I don't always go to the upper floors of the mill as I find the escalator system a little bit frustating in that you are forced to walk along the length of each floor for the ascent and then the same again on the way down. This zig-zagging may be an attempt to encourage shoppers to walk through each of the floor areas but I am afraid I just find it a nuisance. Other than that I would enthusiastically recommend a visit to The Mill in Batley. Happy Shopping :)

I was there again last week and bought 2 nice suitcases and 3 pairs of shoes all good makes. They have a great selection of Radley and Tula handbags the prices are about half the normal price and I bought my husband a really nice Regatta jacket for £45 instead of £100! If you want a good shopping day out you can spend several hours at the Mill with all the top brands available at half the cost! A mile further along the same road is Red Brick Mill which is fantastic for Home purchases rather than clothes.
