My only complaint would be that I wish there was a kitchen pantry, but the number of cabinets made up for it. The location is also awesome. You are on the same road as TJ Maxx, Edge Fitness, Bank of America, multiple grocery stores, and a few great local ice cream shops and restaurants. I commuted into New Haven and it was very easy. We were so happy to move out because the leasing office is a mess. Couldn't tell you how many times I would walk over to leasing office to ask a question and the ladies would be on lunch break for hours. They would even put up on a tour sign and then I would watch them drive away. So many things mixed up when we moved out even though we gave over a 90 day warning and had all paperwork filled out ahead of time and correctly. They sent the end of lease papers to the roommate who moved out years ago even though we switched the lease out of her name. Package room is always a mess and can barely move around in there sometimes. Feels like an elderly living community. If it weren't for the disorganized and sometimes rude leasing office staff we would have given 4/5 stars

There are rented floors and homeowners. Bruce is the point person should you need anything and all the security staff are very friendly, and know your name and your pets! The apartment layouts are spacious and diverse, have stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer and high ceilings. We live on the renter floors so I can only imagine what the homeowners apartments look like, and they also have the added feature of a balcony. The building is located in a corporate complex. We share a parking garage with companies in building 6 which include MetLife and Sikorsky, other buildings utilize the parking like Prudential. The restaurant Il Palio is also in this complex. The only thing that I would change is that renters are not given access to the onsite rooftop pool and gym. However we do have access to a corporate gym in building 3, which is fine. The only way this place could exceed my expectations is if I could land a job in one of these buildings. Best commute ever!!! Helloooo is anyone listening ;)

The staff is ok - the property manager changed hands twice during our time here which made things disorganized and in general is not a good sign. Daryl was great, as was one other girl who worked in the office (blonde hair, can't remember her name), but the others gave us dirty looks every time we went in. And the maintenance staff, while very friendly, didn't seem to know what they were doing and every single time something broke or went wrong they had to come back at least 2-4 times before it was actually fixed. They really play up the amenities, but the gym equipment is crappy and often broken and we always found dog crap on the volleyball court. Important things to keep in mind: 1. We lived in the first few buildings, closest to the main office, and our neighbors were great. However, this is not typical. The building accepts section 8, and what's more, there are MANY families with young children. We met people who had nightmare stories to tell about noise and disturbances (the walls are definitely paper thin). And the pool was often crawling with kids to the point that we wouldn't even stay. When you're at the pool, security comes by and checks for your resident ID, but kids splashing everyone and screaming - that's ok. 2. Your address is Trumbull, but you're living in Bridgeport. And not a nice part of Bridgeport either. Forget about walking anywhere. There was actually a shooting RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from the complex while we lived there, and we'd heard about car and apartment break ins. There is security but I think it's very easy to get past them. If I had a friend moving to the area, I would definitely want them to know the above and what they're getting into! This is the third managed property that we lived in (the others were with Archstone and Mid-America Apartments) and this was the worst!

I do not understand some of the negative comments I see, and truly the place is clean and some of the tenants (the young kids) leave their soda cups and snack rubbish around the parking lot and walkways ; but the maintenance staff are great at maintaining the place. I wish the parents would tell those kids to be a bit more diligent and take pride in their neighborhood. the new manager is wonderful and the new staff are friendly and courteous.

I was visiting New Haven the next week, and they said they had a few properties in my price range and told me to stop by. The minute I walked into CA White, I was greeted with sincerity and professionalism. Linda is an absolute pleasure to deal with. She's fair, kind, and has always been responsive. I looked at one of their luxury 2 bedrooms earlier, which was beautiful, but I was looking for something a little more modest. I ended up signing onto an apartment at 84 Howe St (Campus View), and while it's an old building, it's well maintained, really fairly priced, and located in a safe area and convenient distance from Yale. I really recommend renting through CA White!
