The maintenance group was also very helpful. The grounds always looked nice and the common areas were well kept. I loved our Acadia apartment! The layout was very spacious and more than enough room for us. The floors and appliances were all in great shape. We had a balcony overlooking the dog park, which our pup loved! My only complaint would be that I wish there was a kitchen pantry, but the number of cabinets made up for it. The location is also awesome. You are on the same road as TJ Maxx, Edge Fitness, Bank of America, multiple grocery stores, and a few great local ice cream shops and restaurants. I commuted into New Haven and it was very easy. Definitely consider The Mark if you are looking for a nice apartment complex in the area!

We were so happy to move out because the leasing office is a mess. Couldn't tell you how many times I would walk over to leasing office to ask a question and the ladies would be on lunch break for hours. They would even put up on a tour sign and then I would watch them drive away. So many things mixed up when we moved out even though we gave over a 90 day warning and had all paperwork filled out ahead of time and correctly. They sent the end of lease papers to the roommate who moved out years ago even though we switched the lease out of her name. Package room is always a mess and can barely move around in there sometimes. Feels like an elderly living community. If it weren't for the disorganized and sometimes rude leasing office staff we would have given 4/5 stars

Everyone in the neighborhood was very nice and friendly. We had a coin opp laundry and a storage unit right down the hall and conveniently had 2 designated parking spots right in front of our building. There is also a very friendly trustworthy handyman on site, anything breaks or needs a repair he will be there same day to fix it! You couldn't ask for better landlords/owners, always asking how you are and if you need anything and quick to accomodate most and all requests. This is a wonderful community, it feels like home.     Very quiet and comfy, accept dogs which is always a plus, tucked back so there's not much noise but…read moreclose enough to find you're way out, everyone so far keeps to themselves and doesn't bother anyone, there's a nice laundry room and personal storage area for tenants, 2 parking spots for tenants and visitor parking, and is kept clean, but with all that said the rent is ridiculous, almost 1000 a month and theirs nothing here to make it so high, unless you like a dingy smelly pond with fishing line and hooks laying around worth it, theirs also no weight room or gym or nothing to make the rent so high, 750 a month would be worth it here since as well everything inside these apartments needs am upgrade. The bad side is the plows are terrible in the winter, absolute shit show so expect to do a lot of shoveling here. Everything falls apart very easily, the security doors never ever, ever, work. The windows are very drafty. All in all if I were you guys thinking about this place I would look else where and leave this place as a last resort

Also, many have told of incidents; though it took til our 3rd police report (and the news channels became involved) before they considered doing something for our protection. Heck only reason we have had lights installed in front several months ago is because a tennant complained to the Fire Marshall . How did they pass yearly inspection without before that??? Heavens for bid you ask for any repair work. (Don't hold your breath) You they don't even supply screen doors on our front doors, you have to buy your own. And for the sliders in back only some of the screens have locks. They ask why we even have our glass doors open, but with no other windows in back for a cross breeze what choice do we have. The manager asks we handle neighbor issue ourselves, but I don't pay my neighbors $1150 a month I pay Beaver Brook. Why should We have to do her job. They don't enforce the rules and with no staff here on weekends its easier for the rule breakers to have their fun. Do you know a family of 4 with 2 adults only get 1 parking space, you actually have to pay for an second, but you don't know that til your in the middle of signing your lease. Yet some get special treatment because they can park in the grass in front of their spot and they don't pay extra, or the laundry space is taken buy a tenant not using the laundry, and yet nothing is ever done. I mean if its after the laundry closes fine, but during the hours its open so should the space. Many of us live to far away to walk with baskets of clothes .Why should a pet owner have to pay to have their carpets cleaned when they leave when a family of 5 doesn't, who is to say children aren't as likely to make messes. Especially when we pay extra monthly for those pets. I can go on and on, but I am sure you all get the idea..... so unless you are that desperate consider all other options first.

Haven't had many reasons to call for maintenance but when I have they usually get to it that same day. Love the office staff and workers, they do a great job. The grounds and apartments have been going through updates/remodels in some apartments after people have moved out. Most of the neighbors are nice, not nosey cliques in everyone's business like I've seen in some reviews. If people are loud and obnoxious outside so everyone hears their business all the time, of course people are going to complain to the office and if they get enough complaints they do something about it. Who wants to hear hollering all the time? The best part is they basically have a zero drug tolerance policy( after criminally acknowledged) The basketball hoop mentioned in another review was taken down eventually. It is up to the parents to supervise their children , the office staff and all of us that live there are not babysitters!!
